Really good call

This call is built well and has a authentic sound. Very loud with little effort when using the call. If anybody wants to call in Snow Geese, this is the perfect call for the job.

I struggled at first to get this specklebelly call to sound right. The trick is you have to almost “cough” into the call. Almost the same thing as trying to hold in a cough with your hand. That will produce the cluck. The yodels are simply stringing those clucks together doing the same thing. And you need to use a lot of back pressure when doing it. Wrap your hand around the end of the call closing it off completely. And slowly open it and find the right amount of back pressure. Overall, the call sounds pretty good, just slightly higher pitched than I would prefer. Still a good call and it does bring in geese.

My husband enjoys being out in the woods and using calls - thankfully not for mating purposes. Anyway, this call arrived on time and I can ensure you that it confuses our dog so it must be doing the trick. It did take a bit to really figure out how to properly call mother goose but it seems to work now. I have attempted to use it and unfortunately I cannot get the technique down but it seems to work when my husband uses it. I would recommend this product. For the money it's a good value.

The Reed is really hard to break over. It works but takes a lot of air. The large mouth end makes it hard to blow.

I’ve never had or used a duck call before. I got this to see the reaction of our local Canada Geese by our lake. While there is a lack of instructions for this brand I was able to find videos for short reed duck calls and found it to be extremely beginner-friendly after a couple of adjustments. Used it today for the first time and it definitely works. Two Canada Geese and their 7 Goslings headed to me to see what the noise was about!

I like DC stuff, so I was hoping I would like this goose call. It was awful. It wouldn't break over. Had my friends that have been calling longer than me try it, and the same thing. after this, I attempted to tune it for days. Watched how-to youtube videos on tuning goose calls. Shaved the reed down. Flipped the reed, put it back, pulled it forward, anything you can do with a call. All that, and I got a sound that was from a Ducks Unlimited horror movie. After a couple of weeks of frustration, I just spent the money for a Zink COD. I wasn't great at first with the Zink, but within a few minutes the reed was breaking over and it actually sounded like the target species. Long story short, just skip this DC product.

Thus call was easy to blow and got a great goose sound right away.

Had trouble making the different sounds with this call. Had to lots of air to get it to work.
