Good effort.
Useful companion to other local transport and history volumes, though layout could be tidier. Better to have these books than not have any. Crosville and then Ribble on Merseyside anyone?

Much effort, little quality
I've always been on the lookout for quality books about local transport in this fascinating aea. Sadly this is little more than a spotters notebook with the meagrest of details about the vehicles and a random collection of photographs of indifferent quality, some of which appear more than once. There are reproductions of maps and tickets, many of them quite illegible. I can't comment on the accuracy of the vehicle descriptions although I noticed in the case of Wallasey there was no reference to the body swaps which were a feature of that unusual fleet and the author has omitted the Trojan minibus which they ran. If you wish to show your support for the author who has put his heart into producing a tribute to his grandmother who was a tram clippie in Liverpool then go ahead and spend your £18. The author promises us a sequel on Crosville- I don't think I'll be a returning purchaser.
