Tough and strong. Stronger than regular bike tires

These came on our Yuba Mundo and I liked them so much I ordered a set for our other cargo bike as well. So far, no flats on either bike!

The extra cush you get from the Big Ben makes a world of difference in comfort on my Bullitt. I could use a Marathon Plus for a Beyond-Category level of flat protection, but the reasonably thick casing and the under-tread belt give very nearly the same level of protection in a larger size. If I add to that a thornproof tube with sealant added, and I have a very survivable urban assault solution.So far, grip on this tire is solid wet or dry. The larger 2.4" size makes for excellent load-bearing ability as well as comfort. A rim with a wider internal channel will work better for such a tire, of course, so mind your rim specs when picking a tire.

I had a set of old school tires that originally came on the Chicago Schwinn cruisers in the late '70s/early '80s and I needed to replace them. First, I tried the same type of tires with the same tread pattern - the blackwall Duro HF-851, to be exact. I had no idea there would be such a big difference between the worn tires and the new tires - the new tires had so much rolling resistance that it felt like I was riding up hill all the time compared to the old worn out tires. I'm not knocking the Duro tires - I just don't think they were designed with a daily 20 mile commute in mind. I bought the Schwalbe tires based on other reviews. At first I hated the way they looked on my cruiser but after riding on them I'm starting not to care so much about the looks because they roll so much more freely and pedal so much easier that it feels like a totally different bike. Now, if I could find the same tires in a blackwall without the reflective stripe that would be even better.

Bought this for my electra townie 7d luna bbshd ebike conversion. The stock tires sucked on my townie. This size works perfect for townies with no fenders but mine has the fenders. I had to make a small 1" extension for the rods going from the fender to the frame because the tire was rubbing the rods. I imagine It works perfect with the 2" wide tires with the fenders but i wanted as big as i could with fenders. But with the modification it works perfect

Tires arrived in 4 days! Estimate was 8-11 days.Tires mounted easily, and roll well! Looking forward to several thousand flat free urban travels.The reflective band around the tires is narrow which is less noticeable - until car headlights illuminate them at dark!

Moped like tire pattern. relatively thick (relative to my paper thin Shwalbe Smart Sams), Thinner than my motorcycle quality Marathon Plus's. I like these, and expect long life from them. I only mounted maybe 500 miles ago. Time will tell.

Put this tire on my rad wagon and it is a great replacement to the kendas that were on it. The seller's shipping was not ideal and it took a long time to get the tires and they were in a loose back (non-folding tires) all crumpled up.

I bought a pair of these in January to replace the knobbly MTB tyres on my Cube Electric Cycle. First of all yes they are a little heavier than a standard tyre, however the pay off is the best puncture resistance i have ever had. Much better than armadillos for example which i used to on another cycle and also gatorskins which i had on a road bike for a year or so.I travel around 60-70 miles a week on roads only, never off road. The road conditions vary from uneven gravel paths to busy tarmac main roads with plenty of potholes and debris, everything from glass to bits of cars etc. Im not especially careful and i often set off before sunrise so visibility is low meaning i probably cycle through a lot of stuff i wouldnt in broad daylight. In the four months since i bought these ive not had a single puncture.I now dont even bother to take a spare tube, levers and pump out with me, which i know is now tempting fate but i really am that confident in the the tires ability to hold up. I used to lug a couple of kilos extra gear - tool, levers, two tubes, co2 inflation pump and bottles etc - in the bottom of the my rucksack but now dont.As said i run a cube electric bike, which is heavy, as am i. In total with work gear, bike weight, body weight etc im usually running these with around 110kg of load. Its just no problem for these tires. The rolling resistance is far superior to the knobbly MTBs which came with the bike, theres also a reflective sidewall which is a bonus. Honestly ill probably never buy another brand of tires after picking these up, they are bulletproof! (famous last words as they say!)

To replace my original Ebike tyres, they are the same make and size but have level 5 puncture protection. Original tyres had done about 5k miles, but I was getting punctures regularly from small sharp flint stones that seem to abound in my area, sometimes even too much for slime to cope with. These new tyres have a higher level of protection, and after a month so far so good.The packaging was ridiculous, I ordered 2 tyres, they arrived separately on following days, each in huge cardboard boxes which I've only now managed to dispose of, come on Amazon! Please think about it.

Excellent tyre only 4 stars due to the packaging the tyre was twisted to fit the box deforming the metal rim.

These tires are soo smooth for rolling and amazing in the dirt
