Good cup of coffee
Good, strong (wish bolder) coffee. Best black- no additives. Did make an expresso with it and much better.

Good espresso beans
These are good espresso beans. Nice dark roast, good flavor. Not sure they are uniquely special in my opinion, but I'm not an expert. My machine can't make a Cuban style espresso, but they tasted good for normal espresso.

I have no Cuban story to compare this to but I do know my coffees! Its delicious!
Im envious. All the reviews talking about personal Cuban Coffee experiences. I don't have one. Until this I had tasted cuban coffee once or twice from other Amazon purchases, but I've never been to Cuba, so all i can compare this to is other regular and exotic coffees.I originally rated it as 4 stars. I like it. Its strong. Its bold. Its more burnt tasting than i like, but its REALLY good coffee! I compare this to a coffee shop quality coffee. YES I have had better, but I have had MANY MORE that were worse. Its more of a dark roast. The beans are small. They look medium brown. The smell... OH MY the smell is AMAZING!! Like, dont even taste it till you've buried your nose in the bag for a couple minutes lol.I have tried this a couple different ways. With just GMO FREE natural sugar (decent), with GMO FREE natural sugar and oatmilk (delicious), with brown rice sugar (just as good but you need more sugar), and dark brown rice sugar and almond milk. With just almond milk (pretty good actually), and with.. (here comes the weird one... blue snocone syrup and almond milk. (Was craving something unusual). I know... I know... Cubans everywhere are throwing things at their screen right now. OK but it was great that way. Anyways its REALLY strong coffee with a knock your socks off aroma, and I cant recommend it more. Why not 5 stars? Well theres a certain set of flavor profiles that i look for in my favorite coffees, and this one doesn't really have them. Id rather have a really good quality French Roast honestly, a Starbucks Veranda, or elephant dung coffee (despite the ridiculous price... Its one of those coffees that is just so smooth and creamy and amazing). I dunno, just something about the flavor wasn't quite a 5 star, but you know what? Were all different! I love cough syrup. I love licorice. I love Carolina Reaper chile hot sauce. You may not like any of those, and you may love this coffee. If we were all the same the world would be an awfully boring place.Id still drink this over a fast food coffee or a "major retailer" brand. It has the smell and taste of an expensive coffee. With the right syrup (maybe a hazelnut) it could easily be a 5 star coffee.Come to think of it.. Its cuban coffee. Maybe cuban coffee is SUPPOSED to taste exactly like this? On second thought Im knocking it up to 5 stars.Hope my review (its honest!) helped.

Well Balanced Medium Dark Roast
This is a really nice coffee. It is everything we look for in a dark roast coffee. It is very well-rounded and lacks the bitterness and bite of overroasted beans. Instead, it is full-bodied and a dark roast that has a really nice flavor. It has the lightly oily finish of a dark roast beans but has deep brown tones instead of black. These beans make some beautiful espresso. We grind the beans fresh in our espresso machine and they provide a great coffee. At only $12.95 for a 12-ounce bag, this coffee is pretty middle-of-the-road pricing for a premium coffee.Overall happy with the "100% Organic Authentic Cuban Espresso - Cafe Cubano Cafecito - Intense Dark Roast - Cuba Mia Signature Blend - Whole Bean - Roasted in Miami, FL 12 oz".

Dark, Rich Smooth, Nice Smell, Good Stuff!
When I drink coffee, I tend to like darker roasts and espresso roasts in particular. My favorite from Amazon is the Barrie House espresso roast and this isn't going to replace that but this is good enough to sit at the front of the coffee cabinet and drink on a regular basis. It's nice and dark. It has a smooth rich taste. It's pretty good black and works great with a flavored creamer. This is not bitter at all, just smooth!Currently this is priced at $12.95 so it costs about twice what a decent grocery store brand bag of coffee would typically cost. This comes out to a little over $17.00 per pound. On Amazon that seems pretty typical and actually a bit less than some coffees that are a lot worse. This is an average deal for a 12 ounce bag of coffee on Amazon and it is better than 90% of the coffees I've had on Amazon. If you're looking for a nice espresso roast, this and Barrie House are the two best I've found on Amazon with Barrie House taking a slight edge. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this espresso roast. This is an excellent choice for a nice dark, rich, smooth, fresh bag of whole bean coffee!

Smooth and tasty
I only have one cup of coffee per day, so I want my cuppa to taste delicious. I've tried quite a few local Cuban roasts, but I'm not often able to get into the city to get more. Amazon makes it really convenient to try different roasts. The Cafe Cubano Cafecito is roasted in Miami so it should be at least as good as what I get in Tampa. I liked that the packaging had the roasting date and the best by date on the package. These beans are also non-GMO which some folks care about.I ground my beans in my 40 year old German made grinder and the aroma was quite pleasant. The beans were dark and shiny and looked nice and fresh with none dried or crumbly. I brewed a single cup of a double espresso in my Aeropress at 200°F. There was a nice crema on top. The taste was lovely. Extremely smooth with no bitterness or "bite". It's not quite as good as most I've gotten locally, but not too shabby. Not quite as good as another Cuban roast I've tried from Amazon (Kahwa Cuban Coffee Beans), but still very good. If you like a nice smooth dark roast and especially if you like a Cuban roast, this one is a good choice.
