UPDATE: still using all three of these in 2025–well into their eighth year. Just wish all tech lasted this long.We have three of these model, all purchased in 2017. We use them on multiple international trips per year at 110V and 240V, and daily when at home. All three still function flawlessly after three years of hard use. The ports click in properly, and they don't over heat even with four devices charging at once. The 40W capacity is enough to double-speed charge most combinations of four phone/tablet devices. Take a break before dinner after a long day out and you'll have enough juice for the evening. Overnight will be ready for the next day.The design and form factor are best in class--even in late 2020 I'm not aware of a device with four USB-A ports that's smaller and still plugs directly into a wall socket. I'd love it if Anker made a version of this with their swappable travel plugs, but it's compact enough to work fine with a quality travel adapter. (Don't charge multiple devices on a cheap travel plug adapter--it's asking for trouble if the adapter's crap, no matter how good the charger is.)I almost never write tech reviews because most tech just stinks--purposefully designed to be used, soon broken, and replaced while the oil-based plastic and ultimately limited-supply metal waste piles up. But my family has gotten thousands of hours of use out of these with no break downs, no frustration, no waste, cheaper cost, and higher performance than the original parts shipped with our devices. So today I'm taking a moment of appreciation to write a review. Five stars.

I decided to purchase this Anker 4-port because I wanted a charger more robust, possibly faster, and less warm than my previous old charger set-up which consisted of one double-port and one single port fast-charger that came with my Galaxy.This Anker (which I had other products but no chargers) was better designed and built, did NOT get warm when in use (for 2 phones and a Kindle at the same time), and mot of all – it WAS faster even than my Galaxy fast charger that was included with my phone. Noticeably faster, and my Galaxy phone has a large capacity battery.I was pleasantly surprised. I also like that the blue light glows dimly when not in use and brighter when in use. It also stays put in my electrical outlet. No problem there. Also, I have no problem removing and inserting cables into it if needed (I read that some customers said they had trouble; that the ports were too close together – I had no problem and I am a male have large hands (My pronouns are either I shake your hand or I break your hand).I highly recommend this Anker 4-port charger. it works for me, and if my review describes your similar needs then I say go for it.

I learned quickly that if I don't have something to charge multiple devices while I am traveling, something doesn't get charged. I use and iPhone, iPad as well as some other things like wireless headphones and keyboard that need to be charged. Since I use my devices pretty heavily I also carry a rechargeable battery pack.I also understand that all chargers are not made equal. I went to school for electronic engineering so I will try to keep the technical speak to a minimum. Basically you want your charger to be able to output at least 2 amps per outlet. If the device does not put out the amps, the device will most likely charge slower and this can be exagerated by multiple devices charging. Personally, I want a charger that will charge things as quickly as possible. The Anker charger has circuitry to charge as quickly and safely.The package was delivered quickly and packaged well. In Form factor it is about as compactl as possible. The rear charging prongs fold down, which is great for packing and to protect them. Operation is simple, you fold out the prongs, plug in and then plug in your devices. There is no noticeable noise from the device.The only issue that I have had when traveling is when the outlet is not in a good spot for storing my devices while it is charging. This is not a failure of the device but rather outlet planning at some hotels. It easily charges up to 4 of my devices in reasonable time, saving space, as opposed to if I had to plug in these devices with separate USBs. It’s sturdy and easy to carry around. I bought this item knowing the reliability of the brand. I haven’t experienced it running hot.

It has four USB ports, which is the most used connection I have for the cords of all my devices, Apple or Google. It works fine, and is relatively compact as these things go. I use it mostly when I travel, and my attitude is that if I need more than four ports, I am taking too many devices! It works.
