5M-4PK 5-Micron Sediment Water Filter Cartridge, 4-Pack

We have been using these water filters for several years. We installed a UV system for purifying our well water system and the company we bought the system from told us to use 5 micron filters to keep any grit in the water from ruining the glass bulb and quartz sleeve. Our well pump man says 5 micron filters are not necessary and are a waste of money but it makes good sense to us to protect the bulb and sleeve, especially considering their cost. We have never had any problem with these and think they are definitely worth the cost. We always get them quickly from Amazon. I would recommend you make sure of the exact length you need before buying. I bought ten inch ones once , needed one immediately and my husband wound up having to cut 1/8 inch off on the table saw because it was 1/8 inch too long and the housing would not close no matter how hard we worked. A hard way to learn a lesson but it sure sticks with you when you learn it this way.

I've been using these filters for the last year and they fit perfect and do a great job of filtering our entire house. They are about half the cost of what I was buying locally.

I was using a 20-micron filter on my home-made house water filter system where the pressure was 69 psi. After installing this 5-micron filter, the pressure was 69 psi.....no pressure drop! I change these every 3 months and the price is hard to beat.

Great value from Watts, a reputable manufacturer. My town water supply has been discolored and I have to replace the filter once a month because it gets so dark, but these are a good value and work fine.

I was going through ice makers every year or two(at $1700. a pop) before installing the filter system. My icemaker is now over 7 years old and is spotless, scale free and producing crystal clear pure ice. Put a dual filter rig ahead of your icemaker!

I have a rainwater collection system and my 2 paper filters must be changed every 2 months. These filter the crud out really well, so I have the best water you on the planet.

I was buying these filters locally until I found them on Amazon at much better price. These filters did not have any effect on the water pressure.
