Shenanigans!!!
Shenanigans!Thirty-Three and a Half Shenanigans was such a fast read for me! I enjoyed the pacing among all of the shenanigans involving Rose and Neely Kate. Two plots converged into one and were wrapped up in a nice bow very quickly at the end. However, the story was so laser-focused on the mystery at hand that much of the over-arching mysteries of the series took a back seat. I really want to see much more about Rose’s relationship with Violet, Rose’s mother’s history, Joe’s true intentions, and the mess with JR Simmons. At one point Denise had me convinced that Mason had gone dark side. I enjoyed seeing Joe in action as the chief deputy, but wish there was more about his ‘partnership’ with Mason in taking down JR Simmons. I thoroughly enjoy Joe and Mason and their budding friendship. It’s begrudging right now, but there’s potential. They’ll be besties soon enough!! Meanwhile, Skeeter’s life on the darkside is quite topsy-turvy! I really feel like I have to root for that fella… he’s got flair. I’m sure Rose’s role as the Lady in Black will bite her in the behind soon enough. I really want to know who will find out first… Mason or Joe?! I’m not sure who would be more furious either, but I feel like it’ll be Joe.I’m starting to feel there’s some ginger-hate going on given that TWO gingers (Hilary and Deputy Hoffstetter) have a major grudge for all things concerning Rose. Respect the red-heads! Unless they’re evil… which these two clearly are. :)I want to say that Maeve is my MVP of this installment. She's sweet, she's observant, she's caring, and she's honest (as far as I can tell.) I love her!!I’m still very satisfied with this installment of the Rose Gardner Mysteries! I’ll be eagerly waiting for the next novella and book! *****Five stars*****

This was another great one. I just can't get over it all
This was another great one. I just can't get over it all. First off I am still a little shocked over the news in the end of the last book but it seems will, have to get to that later. Rose and Mason are still together (sadly to me lol, no offense to Mason) Not much is going on until Nelly Kate asks Rose to help her find her cousin that is missing. Of course there is still a few other things that come her way, like Skeeter Malcom, and someone wanting Mason dead. Rose tells Bruce Wayne that her one time thing with Skeeter was her last, but Bruce Wayne doesn't believe it. He ask Rose does she really believe that's it, that Skeeter wont want something else from her? Now that he knows her secret gift that she has. Bruce Wayne says he's not a man to mess with or be involved with, and that hes now worried for Rose. He says that he feels bad that he got her into her meeting with Skeeter in the first place. Of course Bruce Wayne is right, there is only a matter of time before Skeeter comes a calling. Of course there's so much drama going around with Rose, trying to work out and mend things with her sister along with trying to get her landscaping business side of the nursery up and running with Bruce Wayne, not to mention her little daily adventures with Nelly Kate trying to find out about Nelly Kate's missing cousin along with her worry's of Masons life being in danger. All through the book you can also see how Joe worries about Rose and her safety still. You know he still cares for her and would love to have her back. Through out the book you also see Joe and Mason working together a little more in a nicer manner instead of at each others throats so much. And no they are not going to be best friends anytime soon. Rose really gets into some situations like always and just like Bruce Wayne said part of it is with Skeeter. In the end some pretty big stuff goes down and I can't believe some of it. You can also see some of a I don't know if you would call it a friendship but an agreement/closeness, protectiveness between Skeeter, and Rose starting to form including with Jed of course. Their starting to become closer. Rose helps Skeeter out with info he needs in return for a promise of Masons safety. In the end I still can't believe how things down and how Rose, not wanting to give anything away begs Skeeter for something. When Skeeter refuses Rose, quickly offers in as a favor in return for 6 months of her helping him/working with him with no questions asked. That gets Skeeter thinking and taking her up on the offer, and you know hes not going to let Rose off on her offer if she decided to change her mind now. Shes just getting in more deep with Skeeter now. But again its kinda shocking to see how they are kinda so protective of Rose now. You would of never have thought guessed or seen a pairing like them come together. Anyways in the end like always with all the craziness that goes on, everyone turns out ok. I again also give this book another 5+ stars and recommend this series to anyone who is down with reading a good story. I, like always can't wait to see whats in store for Rose and her mysteries next. I'm off to start the next book right now. Great story Denise.

Fast Paced!
I loved this book. I am a huge fan of Denise's writing. I first began reading her Rose Gardner series. I fell in love. I am a Rose hog. I love everything about Rose. I finish the Rose books within two days. I love the series! There are so many surprises in this book! I laughed, I cried, I cheered Rose on! Do not worry I will not spoil it for you because I want you to read this book. One of my favorite parts of Denises' writing is the depth that she brings to each character. None of the main or supporting characters are left unattended. Each has their own background and storyline. I love learning more about each of the characters and watching them grow. The depth and realness of the characters pulls at your heartstrings. Denise's writing is so relatable. It is like you are reading about your bestfriend! Lady In Black, Mason and Skeeter! This is a great read!

Crappy Doodle
I have read five and six back to back so will just do a review for this one. I did enjoy the series up to this, but for me No 6 was way too far fetched to be in any way believable. In each of the books, there are a lot of updates from the previous book, which I find annoying,as I don't think these are stand alone books, and you would need to read the series, which is why I don't see the need for the updates and I feel at times they have become page fillers! Rose for me is starting to become a comic figure, which is a pity,as I really liked her in the beginning. The relationship between herself and Mason don't seem to have any depth, and I don't think we have ever seen a normal conversation between them, without it being full of innuendo,or one of the other wanting to rip the other's clothes off,and it's getting boring how many times you have to read that Rose has to position herself to give him better access:-) C'mon!I hate abrupt endings, and that was as bad as they come. I really think this series has been stretched to it's limits, and I can just see No7 being pretty much the same, with this trip to New Orleans. If the next book don't reach a conclusion, then I won't be reading it,I feel this series is just going to go on and on and on..................... I would love to read a last book, with all loose ends tied up,and there are a lot of them!

Brilliant
Although I bought the first book a while ago I only recently read it. I loved the book so much that I bought the other twelve books in the series and I have read them all within in 2 weeks, I couldn't wait to find out what happened next, the humour is brilliant, to the point you laugh out loud and everyone looks at you, but the heartache is just as emotional. Never mind the love stories, friendships and not forgetting the mysteries that get solved

Disappointed
To start with I have to state I am a massive fan of this series and have eagerly anticipated each new arrival....so to my sheer surprise I was devastated that this one never lived up to the previous standards. There was no substance or believability like the others it would seem rose has become a far fetched unbelievable sleuth and everyone else have abandoned their characters. Basically this was a complete different book from the series and the only thing the same was the names. In the previous books you could really relate and feel the characters and their bonds....this was a half hearted scrappy rushed book with no substance or link to the others...Bruce Wayne? Violet? Vicar? All the regular characters the relationships between them all. Even Neely kate was a different person. I would not waste my Money and will be buying no more from this author

Love this series
5 stars. I just can't get enough of these books. I love that Rose will do anything to help her friends even though it almost always lands them in some sort of trouble. It's great that we learn more about Skeeter and Neely Kate. The ebola incident with Neely Kate was so funny.
