Ripple of Secrets: Rose Gardner Mystery Novella #6.5

Loved this book a lot
This was another short one yet packed full of so much. I really liked this book a lot, you get point of views not just from, Rose or Mason and Joe but from Joe, Mason, Bruce Wayne, Skeeter, and yes Hillary. He lets you see a little more about each person and to see where they've come from or why they are the way they are. You see a little of what made skeeter the way he is today, and a little more of what it was like for Joe and Hillary growing up. Getting a point of view from Hillary is hard to see. It really brings tears to your eyes. Seeing what it was like for her and what she really went through from her family and what joes dad does to her through the years really makes you sick to your stomach. You actually see why Hillary is the way she is, and you actually feel bad for her. It explains why she acts the way she does. I don't know what I would have done if I were her. So know I do think about what Hilary's been through but still don't quite know about her. I slightly feel for her now but still don't like her. I also would love to know, what her plain is going to really be in the end. So along with everyone's point of views you also get to meet Joes sister Kate. She shows up and right away you wonder what she's up to. She seems to shockingly know things for someone who Joe hasn't seen or spoken to in two years. She obviously has a mystery/secret to her that your waiting to find out with her. I don't know if she's going to be on the good team or bad team. Who's side is she going to be on and rooting for? You do know she doesn't like Hillary at all so that is a plus but you still don't know much more about her. You can see that a part of Joe does care but that he is also very annoyed and angry with her. He doesn't want her around and would like for her to leave. He wants his life to be different and better and thinks she's just going to ruin it being around. Of course she tells Joe not to worry that she's on his side and just trying to help. So it just makes you wonder more about what she's up to. Also it makes you wonder what's going to happen with Rose, still doing things and giving herself to skeeter for six months, no questions asked secretly and with Mason secretly trying to bring down Joes father and other secret leads that Rose doesn't know about. There is so much going on you don't know which way to turn. I loved every minute of this book and would give this one more than 5 stars if I could. I just can't wait to see what happens next and which way things are going to turn along with how everything is going to go. One thing I will say like I have before, yes Mason is nice but I'm still wishing, holding, and dreaming that Rose and Joe end up back together. I loved them together and would love to see them back that way😘. Now off to the next book.

GREAT NOVELLA!
OMG! I think Ripple of Secrets is my favorite novella yet! Denise gives us POV’s from Mason, Joe, Skeeter, and Hillary. Rose has to keep her promise to work with Skeeter using her visions after he saves Mason’s life. Mason also has secrets of his own, and I feel like he and Rose begin to drift apart and question their trust. Kate Simmons comes back into the picture after being away for a few years, and we get deep into Hillary’s past. She’s not a super lovable character, but wow, reading about her past and dealings with JR Simmons has me viewing her motives in a different light. Denise gives us such a deep and moving glimpse into Hillary’s story which I have to say has been the best one I’ve read so far. I also enjoyed Skeeter’s point of views, because could be considered a controversial character, but also misunderstood. I love getting into the head of these wonderful characters that I have come to love.

Great POVs from other characters!
The novellas in this series answer SO many burning questions for Rose fans. In this novella, Swank gives us the point of view of many characters, including Joe, Skeeter and Hillary. Hillary is such an evil character in the series, but this book really made me fell for her. I really understand why she is the way she is and why she made the choices she did. In her kind, she had no other choice. Readers also get to see the back story to the mysterious Skeeter. We find out how he got his start and who was behind it and how he ties in to everyone else in the story…even before Rose. If you love Rose novels, do not skip this novella! Many of your burning questions will be answered, but you will also leave with some new ones…

Interesting
It was interesting to get a little insight and perspective from each of the characters. It shared a lot of Joe's sadness and turmoil with his family and his current situation. It shared issues between Mason and Rose that you wouldn't have really understood otherwise. And even more heartbreak in the end which just had me in tears. Rose has such a big heart and really does love so hard, everyone not just her sister but her friends, and even though she has had heartbreak with some she still treats everyone like family. I'm afraid what is going to happen in the future, because it seems as though trouble always follows her and it creates issues in her relationships. Despite all that I look forward to seeing where her life leads her.

Possible Spoiler Alert
At first I really enjoyed these books, but literally cringed every time I had to read Rose saying "Crappy Doodles!" - and it was a lot! I mean, seriously, a lot!I was annoyed by the novella's because they were so short, but you almost have to buy them to get the backstory of the other characters. I read several books, got sucked into some of the novellas and eventually gave up on it because it didn't take me long to read any of them and I had to keep spending more and more money to read the rest of the story. I think the author / publisher took the idea of 'series' to an extreme here. Many of these books could have been assembled into less books, but longer stories. All that aside, the writing itself was really good (with the exception of Rose's favorite thing to say, Crappy Doodles). I liked the paranormal aspect to it, and all of the crime solving was fun. I felt like I got to watch Rose change and grow over the course of the series. She is a very likable character, and would be even more likeable if she had a different catch-phrase. heehee - Ok, sorry about going on and on about that one!Overall it's a fun read, but be warned that it is a money suck because of all the books and novellas and such.

Wow completely stunning
I always enjoy Denise's Rose Gardner books and the between the numbers novellas are usually quick , fun reads. Ripple of Secrets is certainly a quick read but this time Denise switched it up and completely threw me. Her writing is getting stronger and stronger with each book and Ripple is fabulous. Gripping and slightly darker than usual. It was interesting to have Hillary's character fleshed out more and become 3 dimensional and dare I say it it's even made me feel sympathy towards her. I'm not going to post spoilers but I'm just going to finish by saying the ending made me cry and Thirty Four can't come quick enough.

Brilliant
Although I bought the first book a while ago I only recently read it. I loved the book so much that I bought the other twelve books in the series and I have read them all within in 2 weeks, I couldn't wait to find out what happened next, the humour is brilliant, to the point you laugh out loud and everyone looks at you, but the heartache is just as emotional. Never mind the love stories, friendships and not forgetting the mysteries that get solved

Great
I like that in this book you get the point of view from all the characters including Mason, Hillary and even Skeeter. It gives you a better understanding of the characters. But the cliffhanger that this book has ended on omg, makes you just wanna dive right into the next book.

Great quick read
Started to read thirty four and a half predicaments and soon realized that I'd missed something as the stories didn't follow on! Must have missed when this novella came out. Interesting enjoyable read from all the different points of view. Gives some depth and background to the other characters that I suspect will be more prominent in no 7. Certainly puts Hillary's obsession into perspective! I almost feel sorry for her.

Another great addition to the Rose Gardner Series
I just love Rose Gardner, and after the disappointment of the Curse Keepers series, it is nice to see that she still has her writing prowress when it comes to Rose. A good mini story, though I do feel that these 'optional' extras are becoming ever more important to the plot of the entire series.

Yet I keep buying them..
I'm worryingly hooked by these books, I need to know what happens next, yet this is not a particularly well written series, less so as more books are released. This book seemed more like a teaser for the next one as opposed to a book in its own right.
