Work great
Due to my foot surgery, I needed something to widen my shoe from the left side and didn't want to purchase shoes In a wide size that would have been too big for my feet, so I bought the foot fitter work perfectly and just put it in your shoe put it to your widened. Very easy to use. I love the craftsmanship and the sturdiness. Great buy

Works Well
Well. let me say I wasn't sure this would even work with the shoes I wanted it for. I bought a pair of clog style name brand sneakers with memory foam. They were comfortable in the store however After wearing them for a couple of hours they rubbed my little toe. So evidently not wide enough. But they were so cute I decided to buy this and try to widen the toe area. I did not buy any of the spray stuff I had seen because it is suppose to only work on leather shoes and these shoe only have a small amount of leather on them. Guess what the FootFitter worked. I can wear them all day. So it was well worth the money. I used it for each shoe twice for a day each time but that was okay because I can now wear the shoes that I fell in love with in the store.

Ahhh - relief! OUTSTANDING results - can actually wear my pretty shoes comfortably now!
This product is sturdy and works exceptionally well to stretch shoes and pumps (cannot be used for boots). I had to return the first one because the screw loosened and wouldn't expand/retract the wooden pieces. But the replacement has been superb. I've stretched 5 pairs of shoes to the point they are actually comfortable! I had only been able to tolerate them for short periods of time and suffered through the pain. Now, they are great! My apparatus came with 4 of the black "pegs" (3 shown in the photo) which allows spot stretching for bunions, sensitive areas, the top band - wherever. These pegs allow customization of the stretching action and really make this the most outstanding product. I do recommend using a stretching spray inside of the shoe to maximize the stretching process. Wish I'd known about this years ago!

Durable and Effective, Size is Important
At the advice of another reviewer, I got the men's medium for my women's size 38 and 39 (~8 US) shoes. I've aggressively stretched 2 pairs of Dansko clogs- one of which was brand new thick patent leather and an entire size too small. The plastic nubs are a helpful for making space and I was even able to get some instep stretch before using them. I'd never used a stretcher before but didn't have any difficulties. I generously sprayed the shoes with isopropyl alcohol and stretched each shoe moderately for ~24hrs before adding the nubs for a second round which lasted several days. I purchased a couple of inexpensive shoe horns for about a dollar each and they have been invaluable tools for prying the shoes off once they are stretched. Shoe stretchers take a lot of abuse- I'm glad I paid a little more to get quality pieces and having two has definitely been worthwhile. Highly recommend these, they're one of the best purchases I've made all year. Your feet will thank you!

Don't buy this product
The center piece that adjusts the width is made out of cheap plastic so it breaks easily. Returned date passed is I could not return it and manufaciurer, Plixio innovations in Tampa is nowhere to be found. Disappointed!

. . it was worth the shot . .
. . So here's the situation: . . I paid $115 for a pair of wonderful work oxfords. Unfortunately, after a year of wearing them, I developed a very painful corn on my toe. After research, I found out that a shoe that is too tight causes corns! . . My options? . . ether spend another $115 dollars on a wider shoe, or . . Stretch it. So for a mere $34 dollars, I could buy a stretcher and fix the problem. And fix the problem, I did . . . After inserting the stretcher in my left shoe over nigh, problem solved! . . It's a great tool to have on hand. I just know I'll wind up using it again and again. It's a sturdy tool and works really well. WELL worth the money . . .

Great Start — Bad End
The good: The Footfitter fit my shoe as it should. The stainless steel expanders hit my shoe very near where my trouble spots are for bunions and hammer toes. It was doing a great job of stretching my shoe. I put it in every night because that kept my shoe feeling good. I was extremely pleased! The bad: It was always quite difficult to turn the “corkscrew” to expand it, but it was a small price to pay for great function! Then, four days after the return window closed it completely quit working. I couldn’t turn it at all. Put 3 in 1 oil on the inner mechanism, thinking it was just bound up somehow. But it didn’t fix it. It just goes around and around without opening it up.I’m so disappointed — in huge part because I have another Footfitter shoe expander like it that I bought many years ago. That one still works great! I’m hoping this was a lemon. I’m going to order another one because I really need it.

Worked well! Shoes fit like they were made for me!
I was skeptical this would work but thought I would give it a try. I have a terrible time finding shoes I can wear. Fortunately I live in Florida and can live in flip-flops year round. But every once in a while you need to adult and wear big girl shoes! I finally had found a pair of dress ballerina type flats at the Walking Company that fit quite well but not perfect. I just need the vamp stretched a bit. I know there are special stretchers just for stretching the vamp part of the shoe, but I didn’t need that kind of stretch. I used this stretcher spraying each time with Kiwi leather stretch and then used one of the button attachments to put the stretch exactly where I needed it. It took a few days. I would stretch it until it dried - usually overnight, remove the stretcher, try the shoe on, and re-spray and stretch again for 24 hours. After about 3 days it finally felt good, I sprayed and stretched it one last time just to make sure the leather didn’t shrink back. It worked great! Made a believer out of me!

Well constructed and works great!
This FootFitter Premium Professional stretcher is just what I needed to make my soccer shoes fit better. It's pretty much impossible to find a really wide-fitting soccer shoe. Believe me, I've spent many hours searching the internet. I need shoes with a wide toe box, partly because I have naturally wide feet, but also because of a bunion on my left foot. The soccer shoes I got are soft kangaroo leather and so they will stretch from wearing . . . eventually. But in the meantime, they fit way too snug for my comfort.I read mostly favourable, but some mixed, reviews on this particular brand of stretcher and finally decided it was the best option out there. I'm not disappointed. Apart from the plastic handle, it is all wood and metal construction (including the plugs) and it all feels very solid. There are lots of options for placement of the plugs and I'm sure if you needed to, you could drill another hole.At first, I used it dry and it did the job. But I received the stretch spray yesterday and it definitely helps the leather stretch faster. I think the key is to stretch the shoes gradually. As the instructions state, turn the handle until it just becomes snug, then turn another three or four times (technically, half turns – 180 degrees). After a few hours, I gave it another turn and same again in a few hours until I got the desired stretch.I had to push it in pretty hard to get it close to the end of the toe. But I didn’t find that it slipped back out by itself after I got it in there. It stayed put pretty well, with my shoes, anyway. And you could push it in just partway if you wanted to line up one of the plugs on a particular spot.I probably would have got the model that also stretches shoes lengthwise, if it was less expensive. I already paid extra for the premium product - $48.95CAD and got free shipping. The two-way model is currently $80.95CAD.

High quality shoes stretcher
High quality shoes stretcher from the USA. (It does not say where the item was made) Forget the cheaper ones they don't work well. This is fantastic with metal button for bunions

Excellent product
These work well. I have wide feet. These really help. These live in my shoes when I am not wearing them. I switch them over to different shoes every couple of days. My shoes that were unwearable are now very comfortable.
