I cannot tell you how many eye shadows I have tried only to have them cause itching. I would come home and immediately wash my face to get all of the itching to cease. I read that Neutrogena was least likely to cause irritation and it has certainly been true for me. The colors are all a "cool" brown shade and I am quite pleased. Would love to have more selection of colors from this company. All other shadow has gone to the trash. Thank you, Neutrogena!

Of the four colors, I found one useful shade out of the Classic Nude palette.From top to bottom:1. The pink "Lid" color is very light with almost undetectable peachy-pink tone. This shimmery color won't look flattering except on young skin, or should be used as a spot accent.2. The flesh colored matte "Highlighter" practically matches my skin, and I can even use it as a cursory concealer.3. The light brown "Crease" color basically disappears on my eyelid except to leave a bit of shimmer. I prefer matte shadows rather than shimmer for my crease to avoid accentuating fine lines, and the color really should've been darker, at least to match how it appears in the container.4. The dark brown "Liner"- I tried this color first and I really like this matte color. It applies smoothly and doesn't irritate my sensitive eyes, and this color alone made up for the entire purchse for me. When applied lightly with a brush, it resembles the #3 crease color as it appears in the containerThe lesson out of this is that you probably shoot for darker shadows than what you see for these Neutrogena shadows.I really hope to see matte shadow collection in the future, as I really like the dark brown liner color that doesn't bother my eyes.

Always use neutrogena. Best for my skin. I'm used to paying around $8. For some reason getting harder to get certain color palettes. This is one the other is cocoa mauve

When I received the eyeshadows (I got the Classic Nude, in case it doesn't show that), I was excited, as the colors were exactly what I was looking for, other than the rarest which I figured I would use as liner. I have very fair skin, so I was stunned when I first applied the shadows, and I couldn't even see anything there! Thinking I must not have actually picked up much on the tiny applicator, I tried again. I tried every color, and the only one that really shows at all is the darkest one. I have found that I can get a little color payoff from building several layers of color, but if I wanted that natural a look, I wouldn't wear eyeshadow at all! On the plus side, once you finally get a little color, it does stay put pretty well and there is very little fallout. In fact, the powder seems almost creamy, presumably from the added primer/base.Honestly, I may purchase this in other colors from a drugstore (the colors in person aren't exactly the same as on my computer screen), but only if it's one that allows returns of cosmetics because I don't need another shadow quad that is nearly nonexistent. On the plus side, if you are new to makeup or are just looking for a very subtle look, this may be for you. As I have very fair skin, I have no idea how it would look on darker skin tones, though I suspect it would look ghostly and chalky, so if you have anything other than rather fair Caucasian skin, I don't think the Classic Nude will be a good fit.

Great colors that last all day. I’ve had this collection before but can’t find it locally anymore. Is a bit “flaky,” so makeup remover wipes are pretty much a must.

This is a very nice small compact that will last because you have two. The colors blend very light which means you can use all of them in the daytime depending on layers used. Neutrogena is the best product other than a natural organic which will cost a small fortune.

I loved the color combinations! Amazon is the only place I’ve found the replacement as the drug stores no longer have it.

I like this product it has a nice fine texture unfortunately it still irritates my eyes.
