The start of it all
Gerald Gardner is a pretty interesting guy. Regardless of what you think about Wicca in antiquity, Gardner was able to keep the esoteric tradition alive at a time were it was about to most definitely be labeled dead. If anything, he's the entire reason for the revival of paganism and the practice of magic in the west in general. Some of the rituals are... A tab bit questionable. (There is a part of a ritual where the lips, both breast and "womb" are kissed.) But other than that, there doesn't seem to be anything exactly "Harmful" or "malevolent" in the book. Gardnerian Wicca might just be a way to practice a rather complete magical tradition in the modern time. If you think you know wicca, I dare you to read this book.

Easy read
I read it for fun. Too much butt kissing.

"Good" for a beginner
This is your BASIC Gardnerian book. Again, this is very, very basic, I suppose to give the reader a quick and easy understanding??? It may be too basic for most to understand in any depth the religion, rites, rituals, redes, etc. It almost appears as if someone took another book and summarized the highlights to make this book. Very strange to follow and if you do not understand the Gardnerian religion, you will be lost. If you do understand the religion, this book will not enlighten you in any way but to read some of Gardner's writings.

The Gardnerian Book of Shadows
If you're a Witch you should know the roots of the Craft and those who brought it through the ages to us... Gerald Gardner is considered the Father of Witchcraft - he revived it in Europe along with Doreen Valiente, both Witches and we owe them a great deal of gratitude for all the work and effort they put forth to make it available for us - this is the Book of Shadows that they wrote to help others create their own Book of Shadows... I believe it to be a must have in any good witches' library along with his other books and those of Doreen Valiente... if you want to know the truth, start with the masters...

the gardnerian book of shadows Forgotten books
This is a bare bones book. It is a skeletal rehearsal of the basic material. Most of it is available elsewhere, but if not possible, here it is. If you like this version of the craft, please, seek out a tradition of like-minded individuals, and join. Witchcraft is an individual choice. If you're already a practicing witch, please acknowledge your brothers and sisters in the craft, and peace be with you. As for myself, the book is on the shelf and is happy being there. Please have a good day. Blessed be.

Gardnerian Book of Shadows
I got this book to get a more in-depth view of Gardner's work. I am glad I got this book as it definitely gave me a new insight to the religion of Wicca. While I myself am a Pagan witch and not wiccan it was helpful.

A collection of words
It was good to read but didn’t really tell me anything I didn’t know. It’s rather disjointed and not very well put together but informative

Rehash of old material
The title is very misleading. This is nothing more than a rehash of GG's original Book of Shadows. But having said that,it is always worth another read.
