Powerful and versatile underwater illumination.
Got this to provide lighting for underwater video using a Sony action camera. The kit came with a rack for the camera and two handles for the lights. I eventually removed both handles due to the small size of my camera. The red heat sinks turn purple at depth and I used this to determine when to turn the lights on. Battery life was superb, lasting for over two hours, the compartments have double O-rings keeping water out. The lights are for underwater use only due to the heat produced by the LEDs, I forgot to turn off the lamps once and the heat sinks were warm by the time I was taking my gear off. I had no difficulty with the quick release buttons. They are recessed have to be deliberately pressed to release. But, tethering the two lights together is probably not a bad idea. The charges come with adapters for just about every outlet style worldwide and 100-240 volts range. The photo of the lionfish, above, was at 100’ where red is washed out.

Very nice and powerful lights
I purchased these lights along with some other accessories just before a cave diving trip. The lights and accessories are very well built. I like the fact that the batteries are removable and you can insert replacement batteries. The light is very easy to use but it is not obvious to see what is the intensity setting. The three modes appear bright from behind... however, on the videos that are produced it is obvious when the light is in high intensity vs low intensity. Some of my video shots were taken at low intensity by mistake (I was varying intensity depending on silt level and proximity to walls). I would have given perfect score if the lights were showing intensity setting. While the Flex-Connect system is very convenient and easy to work with, the components are fairly expensive (too expensive). ---edit on July 3rd: while browsing photo and video gear and accessories this morning, I noticed they are all "too expensive". I did not notice it that much before and that makes me feel even better about Flex Connect.

These are awesome! I always just use the go pro with no light or just the light from a big dive light that I put a GoPro mount. These are so bright, used during the day for coral to show the real color and on a night dive everyone followed me around, dive buddies joked that I had stadium lights. Thought about just getting the single light unit, don't do it two made a huge difference, I tcompared by just turning one on then the other, big difference! Batteries last along time, I could get three dives during the day of intermittent use no problem, recharge for the night dive and got a full hour on his high.Definitely worth it!Only down side I can see is the red button that detaches light or single handle with light is to easy to release, I read other reviews that mentioned that, so I tethered the lights to each other and to the GoPro just in case. There are tether slots on the lights. Would really stink to accidentally hit the release button and drop a light or the rest of the setup to the bottom.

Terrible connection design!!! Be aware
I used these for about 15 or so dives very bright and compact system for travel but and this is a big BUT.There should be a way to lock the quick release considering there price point. Some how, during the end of a dive one cameloose and I lost it. Absolutely devastating. I love Sealife stuff but Considering selling my remaining kit for a different system that doesn’t have an unreliable quick release.

Nice and lean setup with very bright light
I've done six night dives so far with this setup. The light spreads evenly and is very bright, even on the lowest setting. I'm not using any strobes or focus lights and it still works reasonably well for still imaging as well as videos. It's an efficient, not bulky and well functioning setup that is easy to maintain - a good choice for a hobby photographer who wants decent pictures/videos while staying nimble during the dive.

Rating after used once
Very good packd. nice big bag, where all I need for my picture/video taking diving goes in.Charged, assembled, jumped into the water. WOW... let there be light. Now as I only had the opportunity to use them once fo far, I can't be more impressed. The not so good outcome of my video was my setting mistake. but I can see, that it is a huge difference and the lights are also powerful. The quick release system seems to work very good. I hope the are not wearing out after a couple of dives. All together a great a package which appears after one try to be worth each cent!
