Sight Word Flash Cards: 500 Rainbow Words

These reproducible black and white flash cards feature the most common words in English (similar to Fry or Dolch word lists). Kids will love coloring them in, which helps to reinforce recognition. They are organized so that you can teach the first 100 words, extend instruction to 200 for those students who are ready, or continue on to 300, 400 or even all 500 words! The words are grouped together by level of difficulty making it easier to teach them to beginning readers as well as more experienced students!

As a tutor I use this book for tons of students. It’s a great tool.

Just what I needed

This is a thin workbook with cut out thin paper flash cards that are in black and white.

I feel it is misleading to label a product as flashcards when they are just black and white words printed on regular thin paper. I could type out the Dolch list in MSWord, print them out on cardstock, and create a better product. After this experience, I think I will.I was mislead by the use of the word "rainbow" in the title into believing that the "flashcards" would have colorful pictures, or at least be on a color coded background. Also, you'd think that since the words are grouped by color that the "flashcards" would not be in plain black and white.The fact that it isn't possible to see any of the "flashcards" in the LOOK INSIDE feature should have clued me in.I wish I could get my money back. What a waste. I'd have been less disappointed with hand printed recipe cards.
