Its a insanely good phone for this price. Don't believe the old reviews, they are biased.
Update!: A lot of android apps do work. There are alternative app stores you can download and use. The only one I trust (since you will have to download a technically un-trusted apk image) is the site apkpure. I used another one and it was sketch. This site keeps everything up to date, it will update your apps, and its easy to use. I feel like its better than the play store, but thats just me. I was able to install: Google Maps (yeah I know lol) Mapquest, Amazon Music, Facebook Lite, and Messenger Lite. Instagram will install but will hang on the login screen- go figure. You can still go onto the instagram website to use it. The browser is so fast and optimized on this device- its a breeze using it. No lag at all in the browser. It seems like it wasn't actually unlocked, but it was a former ATT phone. I have ATT, so it was ok, otherwise I would have probably needed to jump through hoops to get it to work or return the phone.Pros:Outside of that, its actually pretty solid. The OS is stable. The call quality is insane, my fiance and I noticed how good our calls sound now.The speaker is loud, and the ear piece is also loud.I've read reviews about the screen being low quality, yet it I felt it is very high.A lot of the reviews talk very poorly of the 8 megapixel camera, these are not true. I have another phone with an 8 MP sensor, and this phone beats the image quality hands down. It has a good lens on it. Videos actually come out very nice. You can access the SIM and SD cards very easily. The browser is fast, loads all sites faster than my tablets using chrome. Audio is nice. Phone ships with earbuds headphones w/ mic attached to them.Navigation actually works, and when it does it works well (look below at cons for more comments). Its a secure device. There's a reason the secret service prefers the use of this company's phones.80 Bucks gives you a lot. You get more than your money's worth.Cons: The apps are pretty much non-existent. You can install Android apps, and it comes with two app stores. There are applications that can replace the interface to a lot of website (ie facebook, instagram, etc). Yet they either come off not that good, or the Android apps can't install well because of Google's intertwined application layers, or both app stores just dont have them. If you can use you site on a browser (facebook, instagram) then its probably much better than downloading anything to use.The size of the phone is large. Its beefy, its thick, and its a bit heavy. Yet you can tell that it is built very well, the back has a rubber grip. They sell cases, but this phone makes me feel like a case is almost not needed. It is sturdy. You cannot remove the battery, its sealed in the phone unfortunately =(The interface is different, and the OS is different. Its takes getting used to, but I was able to zip through it in an hour. The navigation works very well. There seems to be something on the end of BlackBerry (RIM) where the servers don't connect fast or there is latency. Sometimes it take a bit for it to figure out a route. But when it does figure out a route, most of the time, it is fast. Faster than google maps, and faster than apples. I feel the navigation is better than apples. Sometimes you have to go to the settings and turn off the traffic routing assistance option. There are more options for the maps application than most, so its a bit more complicated. The reviews for this device are all over the place. Some reviews claiming the camera is good, other ones claiming its poor. etc etc. It almost feels like a lot of the reviews are just biased against Blackberry for some reason. I rather enjoy my apps not crashing, and my calls sounding clean/pristine. I personally don't care for all the app glimmer of Android, if the OS can't even make a good call, or change volume when its supposed to. This is a solid phone. The quality is up there to Apple's standard, maybe even more. There is disdain for BlackBerry, but these products are workhorses. The OS is good. Must buy if you are looking for a low cost phone that will exceed your expectations.

The apps you need aren’t available
You won’t find the apps to make the phone useful. The hardware is beautiful and I even like the os, but the apps you need aren’t available.

I love the look of this phone
I love the look of this phone, and I had a BlackBerry phone before so I was eager to own another one, I got it and it worked beautifully after I got an adapter for my chip,

Very good, complex, high security phone
This is a complex phone with a complex interface. It posed some challenges for me as I made some errors in my initial set up of the blackberry ID. It took some time and effort to find out how to correct this seemingly simple error...It certainly was not that simple... So, I recommend this phone to those with moderate to high technology experience. Otherwise, it is an excellent phone! No annoying ads...:)

Functionality...
I actually bought this phone for my little sister, who had always used iPhones, but recently dropped her last iPhone which couldn't be repaired. So I just bought this blackberry to help her out while she was saving for a new iPhone; to my surprise, she came back a few days later to tell me how she loves every bit of detail on the phone, from the 5" screen to the vibrant colors the system has. she says the phone works perfectly fine and it is so easy to use. She says the phone takes quality pictures including the front camera that does excellent selfies. The phone is compact and light which make is easy to tell it is worthy the money. I could go on and on to share many things she is happy for. Bottom line, if you are checking out phones and are considering this one, do no hesitate...you will not be disappointed.

Junk.
This phone is a huge joke. If you're looking for a smart phone that doesn't actually do anything smart, then this is for you. The phone freezes multiple times a day for minutes at a time. And it's a solid state phone so you can't take the battery out. The browser will not load most websites, they just show up blank white. I was at an airport and needed an Uber. I tried to request one with this phone from the website since god forbid the app (or any app) is compatible, and it gave me nothing but errors for no reason. Thank goodness I had another phone with me that I connected to WiFi. The two stars I'm giving it are for the durability. It's very solid and sturdy. But overall I was extremely disappointed. I had a blackberry torch back in the day that I absolutely loved. I was hoping their technology improved over the years but no such luck. Save your money. There's plenty of afordable smart phones out there that are actually useable. Don't waste your money on this junk.

A Terrible Phone
It's an okay phone if you don't play a lot of games and install a bunch of apps. Wait, there are not a lot of apps for the phone (it's a Blackberry after all). The talk time and the camera are on par with many other cell phones. With that being said, a Blackberry is intended to make work easier. However, if you don't bank with Bank of America or Wells Fargo, you will not be able to install your bank apps. If you can't install your bank apps (yes my bank is a big national bank), then how can it make work easier. Also, the Facebook app sends you to the link desktop version. So, whats the point of the app. Now, the response time of the phone is comparable also and the work around to not being able to install the apps, you can go to the websites and save them as favorites. It's just an inconvenience. Also, there is no WiFi calling. I am completely dissatisfied with this phone. Not because of Amazon or the seller, but because of the limitations with Blackberry.
