Good clips, but beware...
These are good SPD clips, but make sure you periodically check the roller clip at the back of the pedal (the part that snaps in last). The screw came loose on mine in the middle of a century ride, and of all days to forget my multitool...! Thankfully I was able to find a nearby bike shop that repaired it in less than 5 minutes. So, either check these after each ride, or use thread lock on them. That said, they feel sturdy otherwise and have worked great. I’ve put about 700 miles on these as of this review with no other issues.

Ok if you can get free
I thought the pedals would be a great upgrade but no matter how much I reduced the spring tension I could not get the shoes to release. Gavevup and went back to original pedals.

Good value for money
Perfect, just what I wanted. I’ve installed the bottoms onto my road bike and you can adjust the clip strength depending how you east you want to get out. Would recommend.

cheaply made and this is a get what you pay for example
If you're going to add it to a spin bike or your trainer at home out of traffic...sure, save some money here vs name brand. If you're planning on riding on roads for your commute or exercise, I'd skip. Even if I adjust the tension all the way down, the cleat and pedal are still extremely hard to get out of. On top of that, as soon as you get a hold of the package, you'll note that the mounting hardware is very cheap. By sight and feel, you're dealing with poor quality materials. Why does this matter? For those of us who aren't materials science engineers or otherwise, let me share anecdotally that having cheap screws and plates means they'll vibrate out, fail on you fast, and leave you stuck in your shoe and stuck to the pedal. Try this in traffic or in nature and it's dicey. If you're planning to pedal in a controlled environment, go for it. Save some $ and skip the name brand trusted products from Shimano et al. If you're doing anything other than a spin bike or a bike on a trainer, you're wasting money here. Go for the good stuff. Two stars. These will crap out on you quickly.

New to biking
I'm new to biking and had to buy some pedals and shoes. These had good reviews and seemed to be of good quality. I have not been disappointed.arrived promptly and installed quickly. I am over 200 lbs and have stood up on them hard going up some hills and they seemed very strong. I am still getting used to clipping and unclipping so I do not have any frame of reference to compare that aspect. I have been able to get into and out of them.

Budget friendly pedals that are working great....so far
seems like a good budget friendly SL pedal, I put these on our spin bike and so far they have worked well, they are a little harder to unclip from than the spd pedals they replaced but not terrible. I am 250lb and pedal pretty hard, no bent pedals yet, time will tell if these budget friendly pedals are durable but so far I am happy with the purchase

These being aluminum make all the difference great value!
These being aluminum make all the difference great value! Cleats deteriorate fast but you can't beat the price and this purchase isn't really about the cleats. Just buy more cleats.

A Good Choice For Saving Money
These pedals are of good quality and compare very favorably with the Shimano 105 pedals I have on another bike but at about half the cost. The only difference I can tell is that they seem to grip the cleats a little more firmly than the 105's when the tension is set at the lightest setting. Other than that, no discernable difference. This is not a problem for me. I am able to uncleat as needed with no issues.
