3000cfm fan
This fan definitely keeps my sbc 350 in my 1953 Belair cooler and faster over the advance auto parts 16 inch 1200 cfm. And a lot slimmer perfect fit, well worth the price! 100 degrees in Arkansas, after long day driving keeps engine under 195 and very fast shipping!

great fan
I used this fan to replace an inexpensive Chinese made fan that had failed after about 18 months. This new fan moves much more air and looks and feels like a hi quality product.

Fan packaged incorrectly
I ordered the 16" pusher style fan # 239. It's been a while since I ordered it and today I finally installed it on my 1935 Ford and presto... the motor rotation is correct, but the air flow is that of a puller fan. # 238.Wasted money. What a joke. How do you return a fan that's 2 years old but just installed? Thanks for nothing Flex-a-lite!

Keeps my engine cool.
Works great. Not as loud as I expected. Moves lots of air.

Noisy and the blades exploded after fewer than 500 miles.
I bought this fan to cool a SBC. It fit fine and cooled the engine well, but it was noisy and the blades exploded with a bang after fewer than 500 miles. I tried to buy replacement blades but couldn't find them even on the Flex-a-lite website. I ordered a Spal instead https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M0CNBAM/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1The Spal cools just as well but is much quieter. The Flex-Wave was annoyingly loud, the Spal is so much quieter I'm not even sure when it's running.

Fan not as described by OEM
To start, any fan that draws 18 amps better cool VERY well. So i'm sure this one does. However, i never got to that point. I measured very precisely and had a shourd custom made so that i wouldn't have to mount the fan directly to the radiator (this also uses more of the surface area of the radiator for better efficiency). The fan was advertised as being 3-3/16" thick, so i gave myself 2/16" (1/8") margin. When i went to fit the fan, it didn't fit. The fan measured 3-6/16" (3-3/8") thick. I called flex-a-lite and CJ confirmed that the stated dimension is incorrect. Let me say that again... the advertised dimension, the dimension printed on the box, the dimension on their website, IS WRONG! They basically told me there is nothing they would be willing to do for me... $150 down the drain. When you name your product line a "LoBoy", the single most important dimension is the thickness, the thing that makes it "Low". C'mon man!

Disintegrated after driving 2 miles and damaged new radiator
Using the directions and the mounting kit, we secured the fan to the front of the radiator (it's a pusher fan). Except for the fact that the sound of the fan was akin to a jet engine (way too loud for enjoyment), everything was fine in the garage. Pushing lots of air and motor stayed cool. We pulled the car out of the driveway and drove to the end of the street. On the way back (and captured on video, by the way) 6 of the 10 fan blades came apart. I've included pictures of the fan and radiator. This is a poorly made, cheap, noisy excuse for an automotive fan.
