This finely hand-painted resin statuette depicts Saint Rita on a dark brown square pedestal, while holding a crucifix, a rosary and some roses, her emblematic flowers. The symbolism of the rose goes back to the episode in which the sick saint asked her cousin to bring her two figs and a rose from her father's garden, despite the cold winter season. Miracolously, the cousin was able to easily find in the show what Rita had asked, and brought the items found to ill Rita as a gift. This 12 cm statue of St. Rita of Cascia - an Italian widow and an Augustinian nun invoked as a saint of forgiveness - comes with a paper bookmark whose front side depicts the image of the statuette, while the back boasts a prayer in Spanish. The figurine is delivered in a durable and refined gift box made of smooth, light brown cardboard. Thanks to its plastic window, you can easily see the figure without having to open the package. The same prayer you can find on the bookmark is printed on the front of the box, while on the other sides you can read some notes in Spanish about the patron saint of unhappily married women and desperate cases, along with the indication of the day of her celebration (22nd May). The attention to detail, the hand-painting and the finishes, as well as the elegance of the box, make this Saint Rita of Cascia figure an appreciated gift idea. Weight: 88 g (152 g with box). Size: 4 cm (W), 12.1 cm (H), 4.3 cm (D). Packaging: 11.5 cm (W), 17 cm (H), 5 cm (D).
