Update 18/12/2019:This cover BLOCKS the IR LED array on the current Google Nest product, whilst letting the 'G' Google symbol proudly shine through. Whilst the product photos show the LED array shining red through the cutout, in reality the Google symbol appears here with the LED array placed higher up the face of the Nest Hello. I'm going to have to DIY another cutout to reveal the LED array, as to lose the IR illumination at night severely compromises the video quality*. Is this an example of poor quality production or a change in Google Nest Hello product spec? Comments below please.Everything else in my original review stands; it is a nice thing, just with this one shortcoming.*care when cutting the corners as you could cause a tear to form in the silicone, reducing its lifespan. Potentially use a punch for the corners, joining them up using a craft knife.The shade also slightly intrudes into the top two corners of the image. Annoying, but no issue other than viewing aesthetics.Original review:Arriving from China 13 days after ordering, this matt black silicone cover fitted really easily over the Google Nest. This Nest is using the 15 degree wedge but it did not seem to matter; the jacket covers the Nest itself plus the silver backing plate and the wedge is coloured black anyway, so it looks appropriate.The peak is larger than it looks in the product photographs, which is good as I have both the sun and a neighbours floodlight shining from high left, which I hope this peak will reduce any glare from. Also defintely mutes the white "look at me" of the Nest original casing and anything that helps UV from prematurely cracking the casing is fine with me.Huey.

The silicon vase covers the IR lights require for night vision! I’ve had to cut another hole in the silicon. Terrible design!
