Stripper clips CANNOT be used in conjunction with Casing Deflector. PLEASE READ FITMENT NOTES BEFORE PURCHASING! If you intend to use a long tube optic, the Casing Deflector (model # SKSCD) is highly recommended. FEATURES: Product provides for the mounting of scout scope, red dot / reflex type or other long eye relief (LER) optics to SKS rifles without the need to drill and tap the receiver or make any permanent modifications to firearm. It is designed to use the cross bolt (sometimes referred to as the recoil lug) as the primary attachment point and securely installs over rear sight block.

There is nothing better on the market than this mount for SKS
I always look for other reviews before I choose to buy a product so, with respect to others, I spare a little time to share my thoughts.First of all this Brass Stacker mount is an American made and believe me, it is well made. As you hear the saying you get what you pay for it. It mounts rock solid to the stock with zero movement ones install correctly. It is not a 5 min installation, but ones you do it, you won't ever need to remove it to clean your rifle, unlike other mounts.Yes, I had a hard time with the first mount I order. The top two screws where you can attach the shell deflector were screwed in so hard that I broke 2 Allen keys. So I returned the mount thinking there was something wrong with it. The company was so nice that they sent me a new one and I had the same issue until I used the proper tool to unscrew them ( Dewalt impact driver). Problem solved in seconds.Just to point out, if anyone goes with larger AR scope as I choose, You won't be able to use Stripper Clips for a fast reload. Frankly, I shoot up to 400 yards range so 11 bullets are more than enough for me to hit the target. I like to have the ability to zoom in closer if needed. For very close range you can use a red dot and you won't have a problem using stripper clips for quick reload.Overall, buy it and you won't be disappointed. Thank you, Brass Stacker and I'm looking forward to buying more of your products.

good for a classic sks you don't want to modify
well it serves it's purpose, and it's not hard to adjust. but its a bitch to get on and a bitch to get off. also it is not compatible with any after market stocks, because it uses the hole for the cross-bolt. good for a classic sks you don't want to modify, but definitely not a permanent mounting solution. also not the best for efficacy, in terms of optimizing an sks.i took the liberty of installing a crossbolt into an after market stock anyway, and while it was a successful application. i didn't shoot the rifle in that configuration.

Good quality but doesn't rest on my rear site mount. May need to modify.
Good quality product but it doesn't rest on my rear site mount. There are too many movable parts. Tough to assemble the first time. I called tech support. They were very helpful.
