Tandy Leather Poly-Head Mallet Medium 3301-03

I already had a hard plastic mallet that I used for leather working- the diameter was probably a third again bigger, but the handle is 4 - 5 inches shorter than this new one that I purchased.I wish I had found this one first because it is absolutely perfect for how I use the mallet.The longer handle lets me get in a good swing every time; the weight is heavy enough to do the job but light enough for me to work extended periods without my arms tiring; and the diameter is large enough for me to easily hammer what I’m aiming at (my disability can make that hard) without having to use a mallet with a much larger head.Overall, nice quality, and I’m very pleased with this purchase!

I should have bought a bigger one.

Works Really Well with removing and reinstalling drift pins and split pins on firearms without marring the finish if you hit the frame.

Nice product but it could get easily marked since the hitting material is not rubber

This is precisely the right weight and size for my corsetry needs. The ease with which I am able to set grommets and compress seams is truly a joy.

I would discourage anybody from purchasing this mallet. It is feather light, having no real weight to it for doing work on heaver leathers. I recommend spending a little more for a better quality product.

To small.I sent it back.got better price at Tandy Leather and the size I needed.
