Princess Posey and the Christmas Magic (Princess Posey, First Grader)

Purchased this for a budding first grade reader who loves all things princess. Princess Posey is in the first grade and faces the same issues that most 6-7 years old do at that age. Posey is not actually a princess but dons a cap and tutu and calls herself Princess Posey in order to help her face her challenges. This book has 10 chapters and definitely is rated DRA level 20/Guided reading level K.

These Princess Posey books are really wonderful. I don't have time for myself to read anymore with work, two kids, and a homestead to care for, so reading with my 1st grader is all we can fit in. It can be hard to find books that are also captivating for mom - but these are it for me! We spend weekend mornings laying in bed together reading these books. I love that there's a variety so we don't get bored. Very good books and an easy read for my first grader. She needs some help, but does really well on her own.

Bought this for my granddaughter and she read it through without any help. Then had to read it again and again. She loves this series and this one was no exception. I have to take a moment to comment on another review that talks about someone dying. This is not the case. They talk about a child that HAD died and how much her mother misses her. My granddaughter has already experienced death in our family and had no problem with this scenario in the story. So I highly recommend this book.

My 7-year-old daughter really likes the Princess Posey books. I just wish they were longer - I can read the entire book(s) to her in 30 minutes or she can read the entire book in about 45 minutes. Not really worth $5-6 per book.

Stumbled upon this series by accident. My daughter (in 1st grade) was worried that they were too difficult for her (she had never read a chapter book by herself before). She had read book 1 by the end of 1st grade and I could hardly keep up with her as fast as she was finishing them. She's read all the books multiple times and still loves them (in 3rd grade). Cute stories with good lessons.

My first grader loves it

This was a super sweet book and a great role model for a young reader...my daughter related to Posey easily. A perfect Christmas gift for a beginning reader!
