IT'S ELECTRIC!
Bombest blue ever!! (Just the fringe not the beard). Starts out electric dark & gets brighter with each wash. Strong thick pigment with no hint of turquoise, just pure blue. Found my dream dye!

Silver Fox
Purchased the Silver toner. Don't be alarmed when you open it, the toner itself is a very bright blue. The container is actually pretty small, much smaller than a comparable Manic Panic brand container. That was a bit disappointing, but I'm not hip to "milliliters" and should have checked that bit first. My bad. To add insult to injury, when I opened the package, I got a little too overzealous and the container flew out and broke open all over the floor. However, it cleaned up spotlessly. This actually works pretty well. As mentioned before, I was working with quite a bit less product than anticipated (I salvaged what I could!). I have black-ish hair and have grey highlights that had gone a bit yellowish over time (or "skunky" as one of my co-workers called it). Didn't want to go back to the stylist and pay another $90 for a re-tone. Applied the toner, waited 45ish minutes, and it worked pretty well. Still look a little skunky in parts but if I had enough for a second application it would have done the trick. If you've tried the Manic Panic toner, this works much better. I tried the Manic Panic version a week before and saw little to no change at all. This is a much cheaper and comparable option to seeing my stylist every few weeks.

The dye works great but not worth the money.
I live in the states, so I can only get Directions online. After hearing extraordinary things about Directions, I had to get it. It is good dye, but I don't think it was worth the money to get the dye from UK for several reasons. 1) It is significantly smaller than any other dye bottle you would get from companies like Raw, Manic Panic, and my personal favorite - Punky Colours. 2) It seems to rub on stuff like my pillows and clothes more than any dye I have ever used. 3) It even feels of lesser quality. 4) And this might only be because I am used to the candy-like smell of Punky Colour, but it smells pretty dang bad. There were some good things though. 1) It lasted significantly longer than Splat and Manic Panic. I would say it lasted after 5 shampoos before going to a teal color. 2) The air shipping was amazing! It wasn't expected to be here for 20 more days and it got here yesterday!!! So happy! Also, it was very nicely packaged with foam and "fragile" tape so it wouldn't be damaged. Overall, service is amazing, but not a huge fan of the product since I live in the States.

Hair doesn't go silver
I had a level 8-9 blond and my roots are about a level 6-7. I use Schwarzkopf Blond Me as my bleach product. I had my friend in cosmetology school bleach my new growth using 20 volume and Blond Me, after about 30 mins we took it off because it was burning too much and she applied it past my new growth and onto my midstrands and I didn't want her to fry my hair or band it. The last 10 minutes she had put 10 vol on my ends cause they were still a bit yellow. After we did all this, she towel dried my hair (but my hair was still kind of damp) and she put the first pot of Directions Silver Toner on my hair. I waited 20 minutes (5 minutes more than what it says) and then we washed it out. Nothing happened, I think my hair was a little bit more white but nothing regular purple shampoo can't do. So we blew dried my hair and then when it was fully dry put the second pot of color on my hair and I let it sit for 3 hours. When I washed it out, NOTHING changed. It didn't even eat the yellow from my roots!Total crap hair color product. Or the cuticles of my hair must be so far open they don't hold color now.

Nice color
The color was great and very vivid. It did wash out faster than expected, but seeing this is a semi-permanent dye, it is a pretty good product. My hair is on the thick and strong side so it doesn't take color for long periods of time. I mixed it with conditioner and left it in overnight on top of silver colored hair. It faded nicely instead of turning into some murky shade and also blended well with other Directions colors when I tried experimenting with mixing colors.

Great color, didnt last long
When I first put this in my hair, I had used with shampoo and no conditioner and slightly wet so my hair would have the best chance at absorbing the color. My hair looked very silvery and white until my next warm shower. I just wish it would've lasted longer (though the same could be said of nearly every product for silver hair). I've already recommended this product for someone seeking silver hair (in addition to a silver dye).

Do not buy the silver
First off La Riche customer service was great. The toner in silver is horrible. Please do not waste your money read the other reviews of people who bought the silver . I bought the Riche based on the reviews of the vivid colors , this color will not take not even a little bit . Now let me tell you what I did, I went ahead and bought Croma Silk Vivids silver, I do not have a dog in the hunt with Vivids I make no money, I think the two products cost about the same and your not waiting a month for something that won't work. Vivids silver took beautifully my hair is absolutely stunning silver... so save your money don't buy the Richie silver if you want to buy a different color and the reviews look good go ahead but if you see the other reviews for the silver you'll see it is not taking. I would have given it one star except for customer service was so great, because my package was a damaged .

... trying to get the "granny" look that all the cool kids are doing
I was trying to get the "granny" look that all the cool kids are doing. I have my hair lightened to a pale blonde. I followed the directions and left it on for 15 minutes and it only took out some of the yellow, making it more platinum blonde. I experimented and left it on for 30 minutes and it actually got a bit whitish, but I wouldn't say silver. I think it would take some trial and error to get your hair an actual silver colour. On the plus side, easy to use. Didn't stain my hands (I didn't wear gloves) and left my hair feeling pretty nice.

Great colour. Bad colour bleeding!
I used Rubine mixed with a good dollop of Rose Red. My hair is light brown with very light blonde natural streaks and I have bleach on my lengths.I like Directions and Crazy Color for fun colour changes. I find Directions less runny, so chose it this time for a messy red colour change!Easy to apply. I do it on damp hair with gloves, like applying a thorough conditioning mask, just because I hate messing about with brushes etc. I combed it through and piled on top my head and out a shower cap on. Left for about half an hour.I got a lovely shiny rich burgundy on the light brown parts and bright, deep fuchsia on my bleached lengths and lighter bits. HOWEVER, the water NEVER ran remotely clear and the colour was coming off on everything...clothes, bedding, face.Despite liking the colour I washed it about 8 times over a few days with dandruff shampoo to try and get the excess leaking colour off (maybe used too much colour? 🤷🏽♀️).The darker parts have faded a fair bit, and the excess dye on my scalp has gone, the ends remain vibrant fuchsia. The transfer of colour has stopped a bit, but I still get some staining on clothes and bedding and the water is bright pink when I wash my hair. So, the colour and shine is gorgeous. I got a nice even result (I knew my bleached ends would be mega bright of course) However, I could only whole heartedly recommend if you never a) ☔ get caught in the rain b) ⛹️♀️work up a sweat c) 🏊♀️ swim d) like nice bedding. At the moment I have to carefully choose my clothing and activities! It's worth saying that most of this excess colour is probably coming from my bleached lengths as it's more porous of course, and if your hair is all previoisly undyed it probably won't be quite so dramatic. The dye does come off fairly well from most things btw, eventually, but don't risk your best white anything for goodness sake!!If you don't go into the great outdoors/swim and never intend on getting sweaty, then no problem! 😉Please tap "Helpful" ⬇️ if my review has been useful or interesting.Thank you! 🙂 Makes me feel I'm not completely talking to myself here 😂All my reviews are genuine and I always update them if I have any issues further down the line with the item.Consumer power! 💪How do we know if something's any good unless genuine people leave reviews?

Macht was es soll

Great hair colour, use it all the time.
I usually use lilac and dip dye my ends with pink, but decided to go up to the roots this time. I have naturally grey hair and this covers it wonderfully, ready easy to blend colours In to each other. I used pink hair drops mixed with conditioner from another make on the top, and used the new Wisteria colour on my ends, it's a really pale grey purple, almost like a toner so had to go over again with Antique Mauve, still a really pale pastel purple which is what I wanted this time, when I want a vibrant purple I go for Lilac, it's a stunning colour. This brand never disappoints,
