I have never been a Big Mac/Apple fan. My wife turned me on the iPads that changes my views on Tablets, but I am still a PC kind of a guy.When my bought my current MacBook Pro, I was disappointed because I wanted an HP. Then I realized that it didnt have slots for anything but 2 usb-c ports. very discouraged. She spent over $1500 so I figured I would try to make the most of it. I tried everything and could not get it to work or to transfer files. Then I was told about this adapter. I wasn’t ready to $40 on this but had to do something before I destroyed this computer! I received this in the mail. I could not wait to try it out. I plugged it in but no new device was appearing of shown as a new registry. More frustration!Then I tried plugging a line that bridged my old laptop with my New MacBook Pro. I was truly amazed with this item. I was able to transfer files super quick and charge it, plug in for a presentation, you name it! This device is excellent!!! One really needs to have this for their MacBook Pro User. I believe that it should be standard equipment with your new purchase.Thank you, this has been a life saver!

After receiving my new macbook pro, I quickly found out a dongle on hand everywhere you go is a must have, and this looked like the perfect solution. It matches the space grey color on my macbook for a seamless fit, and it guys more than enough ports for whatever item you would need to plug in. I also think it was super helpful to find 2 extra usb c ports on the dongle, so that you can still charge your computer while using it. My only complaint I would give is that it's build quality could be a bit better and sturdier, but for the price it's very competitive, and something you for sure need if you have a newer macbook with only usb c ports.

I use my macbook pro with Pro Tools to cut sound for work and I’m always getting annoyed by the changes Mac makes… you always need new adapters and such because they keep changing things (so you’ll buy more, obviously! Annoy.) The current ones you have to get stick out - I was getting tired of the adapters that have the short cable because it's easy to bump them and move them and have them become disengaged from my mac and they are a pain to have to move around. This one snuggles right next to my laptop and it's so much better.. no bendy cord and mess on my desk. I wish it fit/secured a little bit tighter because I'm always moving my laptop around and stuff but it is still worth it not to have the old dangly big hub adapter!

When I opened the box to this product, I noticed that it was slightly dirty with some slight scuffing on in, nothing that couldn't be wiped off. I just figured that it had probably been returned by someone else so I wiped it off and attempted to plug it into my laptop. I have the same exact laptop as shown in the photos, however this product (which appears to be USB-C compatible) did not fit flush with my laptop. I even tried taking my laptop case off but the product still did not fit flush with my laptop and therefore WOULDN'T WORK. I wanted to contact the seller to ask about this, but there is apparently no contact information according to Amazon Customer Service. So I will be returning it. Hope everyone else has better luck.

I actually loved this item when I first purchased it, but after not much time at all, it stopped working.Don’t waste your money on it!

Being home, on my laptop, I finally decided to get a larger monitor and all the peripheries to make life easier. Before I bought this I was constantly plugging and unplugging cables and dongles.Now with this, everything is easier. I don't even need all the dongles anymore. It all just works and looks great as well. Matches color perfectly and is so nice it is directly connected without having to have it dangle from a short cable like others.I don't know why I waited to get this until now. This has been a big improvement in my day! Thank you!

I recently upgraded my MacBook and now all the ports are USB C so nothing I had on my desk worked. I looked into a lot of different cables and adapters and landed on this one. It has ports for HDMI for my monitors, lots of USB slots which is great for me because I plug in a camera, headphones, and a mouse stick. There is an sd card slot which will come in handy for transferring from other devices. It looks like an extension of the Mac. It works well when I take my computer from my home office to my business office.
