Freepbx 2.5 Powerful Telephony Solutions

There is no excuse for not noticing the publication year (2009) and version covered (2.5) for dated material like this. So my eyes were wide open going in, but I had hoped, since this is the only title available for this distro, that I could at least get some ideas and figure out the feature and UI changes myself. I was wrong. The style: "Here is the organization, here are the menus, here are the fields...oh and here are a few tips" is probably helpful to some, but maddening to me. And in this case, since the navigation has changed so much since version 2.5, you pretty much have to ignore that portion of the narrative anyway. Regarding the details, one could easily hover over the little help icons for each field and get basically the same information.If you are getting started with FreePBX, go to the site and follow the limited documentation there. It is obviously a work in progress, but there is useful stuff there. From there, go to YouTube and find some videos.Even if you have a working PBX in place, you probably won't find any help in this book. I certainly didn't.
