Great buy
I really enjoy playing these tunes, especially the older ones like One For The Vine, Mad Man Moon, Heathaze, Blood On The Rooftops, and Many Too Many. They are very faithfully transcribed and capture all the subtle chord variations. They are not dumbed down at all -- they aren't afraid to suggest you play five notes with one hand or play in the key of B or F# if the tune calls for it. But as an intermediate player I was able to dive right into these pieces and get results that sounded very much like the recordings. There are plenty of songs that I have no interest in that aren't very keyboard-oriented like No Reply At All, Tonight Tonight Tonight, I Can't Dance, etc. but at 350 pages there is enough value in here to have some fluff thrown in too.

Good Book
First off all, I would like to say that I'm a huge Genesis fan and that this was a treat to get. Alot of the songs are from the post Gabriel years so there is not a whole lot of songs from when he was in the group. The book is massive, it's almost impossibile to play the piano and turn the pages at the same time. You either have to copy the pages and print them out, or break the spine all together to play the music. The music is intermediate level to play, and it sounds really good on an organ or keyboard to get some of there signature sounds. Anyways, the book has got tons of songs to keep you entertained for hours. 5/5

Good arrangements, terrible binding.
This review is of the Paperback edition. The arrangements are fine. The book isn't.I have decades worth of Hal Leonard published songbooks. They have always been extremely well bound and the larger volumes have always had a nice lay-flat binding with flexible glue and a hinged outer spine. This one does not. It has a stiff, solid glued spine. Combined with its thickness, there is no way this book will ever stay open without breaking it. Even my holder to hold books open on the music stand can't handle the stiffness of this binding.I hope this isn't the future for Hal Leonard books. I'd rather spend a few bucks more and have a book I can actually play out of without having to wrestle with it.

A good start
Genesis is one of the major progressive rock bands of the time. This is a nice anthology of their work, but be aware that it is typical of books of the type. It is not a note-for-note rendering of the songs, and musically important parts (e.g. extended introduction on "Behind the Lines") is missing. Still, it is a great book. I received the book on time and in excellent shape, and am happy with the purchase.

“In The Cage” is in the wrong key! ☹️
Just received the book and opened it up to play along with “In The Cage”.... the best song to play for keyboard players....and the book’s transcription is in the wrong key! What the heck? Disappointing. Tony Banks! Help! Other songs seem to be in the right key...but THE most fun-to-play song is transcribed a half step up. Why?

... a pity it only has the songs without the wonderful Genesis instrumental bits
It's a pity it only has the songs without the wonderful Genesis instrumental bits, but I like it anyway.

Very good buy indeed
Just great book and the notes I did want. It was hard to find Genesis notes, there are not too many books around.

The Lamb lies down on Broadway".

Excellent selection
This is a great anthology with a good selection of Genesis songs, but mostly from the Collins era. Some piano solos are left out (eg Firth of Fifth), but in most cases this is not surprising and the accuracy of the transcriptions more than makes up for this. Really good value for such a large collection.

Genesis anthology

Less songs more detail
Okay anthology but I would have sacrificed the amount of songs in the book (54 in total) for less songs with more detail, example - Firth of Fifth is only 4 pages with the excellent piano intro omitted, that said if you are buying it as a sing-along book then it does the job.
