Great River Company Magnetic Dipstick, NO Mess Oil Filler, Extended Run Fuel Cap FITS Honda Eu2000i Generator

Excellent product (have not yet used the oil drain tube). Well-made / machined. Used a Teflon pipe thread by barb fitting & 3/8" ID Tygon tubing on the extended run cap. Ran the Tygon through the flex spout (long enough to reach the bottom) of a 2-1/2 gallon gas can. Glued the Tygon to the spout on the inside using “Seal-All Gas & Oil Resistant Adhesive”. Put a 1 foot piece of Tygon on the gas can vent hole with a hose clamp. Screwed the extended run cap & the gas can flex spout assembly on tight. Lifted up the gas can & turned it upside down to “burp” the air bubble in the fuel side Tygon back up through the gas can & out the vent. Perched the gas can next to the generator (Honda EU2000i) with the bottom of the gas can at the same height as the botom of the generator fuel tank (concrete block). Worked great.

The gas cap thing works surprisingly well (I wasn't sure what to expect)The magnetic dipstick takes metal filings out of engines that are well broke in. I guess the filings never really come out with oil changes. Anyway I would be hard pressed to break in a small engine without one of these from now on. One note, however, the dip stick gets very hot! So wear some gloves or use a rag to remove this if the engine has been running! Also, I don't know how the magnet is fastened in the dipstick (a call to the company was not productive as nobody knew) but if it were to fall out it would cause more damage than the particles that it removes. The company that makes these did say they are not responsible so use at your own risk.The filler tube does help with dumping oil from an EU2000 Honda generator, but as other have stated it does not allow you to see how much oil is in the engine when re-filling with oil. I always pre-measure so this is not an issue for me.

Anyone who has a Honda inverter generator needs this set of gizmos. All these products are well made, cleanly machined and will outlast your generator. The magnetic dipstick is obligatory for a small engine that has no oil filter, and the oil drain/filler tube makes changing the oil a completely sanitary, five minute project. At an off-grid cabin, instead of filling the small factory tank every day I use a six-gallon boating auxiliary fuel tank. Every time that exterior tank drops below one gallon, I replenish it with five gallons and change the oil at the same time, which works out to be about a 25 hour interval between oil changes. Then every three or four oil changes I change the spark plug and clean the air filter. With routine maintenance, made much easier by these items, your Honda gen-set will give you years of reliable service.

The no mess oil filler tube, The fact that it screws into the oil fill/check hole makes it SUPER EASY and simple to keep from spilling oil everywhere. Could be better by being about an inch longer so you can ensure while tipping/leaning the Generator over that the oil don't splash in your container and get on the generator. But damn near perfect besides the lack of length.The magnetic dip stick, reading others reviews i was skeptic but its solid and I'm pretty sure the magnet on the end will not fall off, it looks to be pressed into the aluminum. Very solid feel, and the textured areas make it easy to screw into the end.Simply put the Honda EU2000i generator uses no more than 13.5 oz of oil according to the manual. If you dont want to use a whole bottle, and a bunch of rags cleaning up, then you need to buy the no mess oil filler, it is worth it.The absolute only thing that i can even remotely think of is that makes this deal NOT PERFECT is them not including the brass fitting for the extended fuel cap, everything else is perfect. BUT oh well you can go to Lowes or Home Depot and buy one for a few bucks and call it perfect.For the inconvenience of having to find the fitting yourself, they could have EASILY charged 2$ more and included one in the package.

The single design flaw I have found in the Honda EU2000i is the failure to provide a no-mess means of changing the oil. The oil change tube in this kit makes it possible to change the oil without spilling a drop. 5 stars!The magnetic dipstick picks up a lot of microfines. Very highly recommended. Its amazing how much cleaner the oil appears after 25 hours of running. It normally gets black, but now maintains a dark honey color as the magnet gets covered in metallic fuzz instead. 5 stars!The fuel cap works well and is extremely well designed. Attach a 10 gallon external tank and you can have 3 days of non-stop power. 5 stars!All in all, this was money very well spent and I would recommend it highly.

This is a super product and concept. The oil change is mess free, the magnet really helps keep your oil perfectly clean. The only complaint is that it should come with the 1/4 nipple and fuel line. Why they provide the gas cap without the 1/4 nipple fitting is really stupid, it ruins your ability to install it and use it immediately. Instead you have to go out to find a specialty part and hose to use it. But again, great product, with one very key gap in completeness.

This is a really nicely made kit for the Honda EU200i generator. The kit makes it easier to check and change the oil and the magnet is a great idea. The fuel cap fits really well and allows me to run the generator for three days continuously without refilling.This kits makes it easier to get more use and makes it easier to maintain my generator. The machining is really nice too! Super!

Every Honda generator should come with these. It makes changing the oil and filling it a breeze. Build quality is good and the knurling is clean. Can't speak to the gas cap as I've never tried it on extended run times. Would highly recommend these to those that don't already have them.
