It survived the Great Depression of the 1930’s, tornadoes in 1949 and 1975, several devastating fires, and the ups and downs of many market cycles. In World War II, “The Bradley” made ammunition boxes, military crates, timbers and even hardwood ski blanks (for the Finnish army). For many years the largest flooring mill in the world was at the Bradley Lumber Company. Furniture, wall panels, decking, cabinetry, stairs and many other products were proudly and painstakingly made at “The Bradley”. In 2002, after more than 100 years of continuous operation, “The Bradley” was closed. Instead of allowing the company to vanish, it was purchased in Septemer of 2002 by David and Michelle Chambers and renamed "Bradley Brand Furniture".Bradley Brand Furniture has continued to expand and is once again building solid, 100% American made, heirloom furniture.
