This envelope opener hits the spot! My 93 year old mother-in-law lost her so I replaced it with this and she was very pleased. You know how hard its is to please an oldster.

Like that it thin enough to get under the lip of the envelope and actually works. Thin blade is the key. The handle nice to hold.

I had a letter opener. Then, it was misplaced. I opened bills/envelopes by hand - terrible. So, I went to the kitchen and got a butter knife and thought, "this will work". Not so much... I hate paying bills, let alone having to work to open them adds insult to injury. So, I bought this thing - it is sharp, stabby, and slices envelopes like nobody's business! So, dang you bills - you're in, you're out. I am done in a flash. I never realized how much you want a tool like this until its' gone. I love this thing. It makes a nice gift - to yourself.

This simple yet beautiful letter opener does it exactly what it's intended to do ... slice open envelopes with ease. But it does it with delightful elegance. It's sturdy, comfortable to hold, and feels like it'll last forever. It slices perfectly without anything actually being "sharp" on the opener. If you're tired of tearing open your envelopes, giving yourself paper cuts, and just generally making a mess of things, I recommend trying this letter opener.
