This filter is a cheap piece of garbage. Costs more than the actual shop vac branded replacement filter. It’s listed as a HEPA filter I only bought it because I was looking for something better then a normal filter. It’s half the filter at a higher price I would not buy again I would not recommend to a friend I would recommend spending less and getting something better. Also the cheaper Shop vac filter came with a new cap

Well, it is a filter, and would probably be fine for coarse materials, but that isn’t how they advertise it and not what I bought it for.If you are cleaning fine dust (which is why you bought HEPA to begin with) it is going to blow a cloud of dust into your room. I bought it to clean cool ash from a pellet stove and it isn’t nearly up to the task. After it blew ash all over my room I took it apart to double check that it properly seated (it was) then to the trash and went to the lumber yard to get a branded filter that actually (gasp) filters...

Fell apart on first use. No response from the seller. The original Shop Vac branded filter I bought 7 years ago is still working but stained and dirty looking. Should have bought another Shop Vac branded. Now I'm stuck with this piece of junk.

Nothing wrong with this filter, I only gave it four stars for Easy To Install because it was a really tight fit and took some effort to get it to finally slid on but rather that than it be too lose and fall back off. I can recommend it.
