I Wouldn't Say It Conforms to the Original Book by the Author
If I remember correctly, in the original book, What To Say When You Talk to Yourself, there should be 12-14 statements for each situation that you want to work on. However, in this book, each day has bite-sized vignettes of what to say. All is not lost, as I will be recording these affirmations in my own voice for personal use on a loop. I've only read the first couple of months worth of affirmations. If there is any explanation as to why the smaller chunks versus something more meaty, I'll add more stars to this review.Also, one thing I absolutely love is that about every seven days or so, the author provides instruction. I'm not sure if I would love the instructional pieces altogether at the end or beginning of the book, but I find having it interspersed throughout the book refreshing, like having stair landings to give your body a break from just continually walking up the stairs. Of the many affirmation books on the market, this one is unique in that it gives examples and easy to understand explanations as to why this neuroscience works!

Great book!
I love this book. It has really helped me out a lot. I'm going through PTSD right now and have felt like nothing was helping me get better. I refuse to go back to therapy or take antidepressants ever again, so I bought some of this authors books, and little by little I feel better when I read through them. I've been using his self talk theory online like my life depends on it, because it does.If you read and reread these pages every day, and believe you'll get better, and most importantly, be patient (I'm impatient and want to be better now), but if you just stay hopeful and believe in yourself, this book is a good stepping stone. Even though my issues are pretty bad, this book, it's still able to give me hope. If you have the more simpler problems in your life like job or family stress, you'll really change for the better. If it can help someone like me, with problems that should be worked through in therapy, it will definitely help those with smaller problems real well.I like this book so much I bought another one of his books, and I'm going to go see what else the author has and probably buy them all.It's very simple and easy to understand and read through.

Worthless book
There is a one sentence positive affirmation each day with ideas like this one on May 20th: "Of all the roads I could walk, I choose to walk the road that helps others walk theirs." Its a bunch of psychobabble, no substance at all.

Words Matter
I love this latest book by Dr. Shad. It is an easy read and full of quick self-talk quotes that you can use throughout the day to rewire your brain with new positive programs. This is a very different book than Dr. Shad's previous books in that instead of focusing on educating readers about self-talk, it provides daily self-talk quotes. It is more like a tabletop book that you can grab a golden nugget from each day. Throughout the book Dr. Shad has also added Self-Talk Tips which provide random bits of insight and knowledge about self-talk, he answers questions readers might have, and even provides some history. It's almost like having a private conversation w/ Dr. Shad, I can actually hear his voice when I read these. This is a fun book to read outloud and share with others. We have it on our dinner table and take turns reading a self-talk quote for the day. Words matter, the words you say to yourself matter the most. This books helps you find the right words to ensure you are building positive programs and beliefs about yourself. If you have people in your life who are struggling with positive self images or are full of negativity, I highly recommend you buy this book as a gift for them. It is an easy and gentle way to introduce people to the power of positive self-talk.

My Daily Affirmation Vitamins
I call the “365 Days of Positive Self-Talk my daily affirmation vitamins. I have several of Dr. Helmstetter’s audios and this book. I purchased it roughly 2 months ago (October 2017) and I’m optimistic and eager to see how far I progress by the end of 2018. I have a plan of writing the day’s affirmation down on a 3x5 card to keep on my person throughout that day for the entire year. Great book! Get it!

Here is a book for everyone. Why not start or end your day with positive self talk. A motivational topic for every day of the year. A Positive outlook for each day!
I read this twice - sometimes thrice - each day: First thing in the morning - Last thing at night - and sometimes in the middle of the day. It reminds me what I have to be grateful for & how to think positively in a world overwhelmingly filled with ‘bad’ news.

Very General - Good Companion to Other Books on Self-Talk
I was a little disappointed in the simplicity of this book. I own several books by Dr. H and this one just fell short. It offers short self-talk phrases for every day of the year by date, as advertised, but I expected a little more substance. The topics are nicely jumbled, but I find some to be a little off direction for me. It tries to include too much and doesn't focus on one perspective, as I would prefer it to. Not the right book if you are new to self-talk, more of a follow-up companion.

Brilliant read, I love Positive Self-Talk...
What a great read read.... This Positive Self-Talk book is a great start to anyone's day, it puts you in a positive mood right from the start of your day and if you remind your what you read that day lasts all day... I love these types of books, you have to try it yourself, but for me personally it's a great read.If you live with an unpositive person each day of your life as I do, you really get so much from reading this. I love it.

This book is back to Shad Helmstetters best, as well as being informative, it is also practical and should keep your on track. I wasn't that keen on the Power of Neuro plasticity, as I didn't think it was practical enough, too much theory for me. But this book is up with "what you say when you talk to yourself and I think it exceeds it by far, being more practical in nature.

It's nice to wake up and read some positive self-talk to start the day. Not totally sure that random paragraphs will be absorbed as well as targeted and specific phrases but it's uplifting nonetheless.

Life Changing!
Reading this book each day and re programming my self talk has literally changed my life. If like me you have always thought quite negatively then you need this book! It will totally change you into a positive thinker!
