Fantastic!
Bought this to help my 10 year old son improve as a pitcher. After recording about thirty pitches with the F5, we could see from the stats that he was throwing the ball with a twisting motion like he was turning a doorknob (as measured by “rifle spin” and “spin efficiency”). After working with a striped ball so he could see the spin along with some other drills over the course of a weekend, we had him throw another 30 pitches with the F5 ball. He showed tremendous improvement! We’re going to work on a stronger drive off the mound next. The stats say that he throws the best when his backward extension is less than a foot and his forward extension is more than 5 feet. This should increase his velocity from 47-48 mph to 51-52 mph based on the difference between the pitches where he extends vs those where he doesn’t. This is truly a great product!

Measuring is knowing
This is an awesome tool to improve your pitch. After a few throws I immediately started to focus on the actual metrics (= how the ball moves) instead of trying to throw as fast as possible. I love the feedback through the app. It makes it so much easier this way to see what is happening with the ball as opposed to trying to figuring it out yourself from how the ball moved. To use an old Dutch saying: "Measuring is knowing". Great product.

Extremely cheap leather
After you throw the ball a couple of times, if it accidentally hits anything hard, it will start looking beat up, due to extremely cheap leather used in the process. Why can’t they use regular baseball leather?

Helped my son with his mechanics!
The ball is made of the same leather as a major league ball. By watching the arm slot and focusing there we were able to achieve greater speed, more accuracy and less worry that he was straining his arm. At 10 years old, it also a great way to watch speed decline as he got tired to limit pitch counts. This is a pitching lab in a ball, unreal!
