It Works
I live in a retirement community. The outdoor faucet handle disappeared. I bought this one, and it works great for what I needed. Thank you.

Perfect Fix!
This kit helped me fix my frost free sillcock that I could not identify the make or model to match parts for replacement. Mine has an odd-sized square shaft with a more pronounced taper than others seen in photos and in local hardware stores. Before ordering this Danco kit, I'd purchased two other handles, one of which had a square fitting that was too large, with the other, smaller one being too small. The adapter for this handle provided the perfect solution since it has multiple square shaped recessed fittings that enabled me to work with my seemingly odd-sized handle shaft. The bolts that came with the kit were too small, not the same threading as the 3/8 x 24 threading I needed, so I needed to use my drill press to make the hole larger on this handle which worked perfectly. This handle is quite stout and will undoubtedly last a long time. The adapter fitting and overall finish of this handle are top-notch, not to mention comfortable in the hand when turning on and off. I'm very happy with this purchase and highly recommend this kit if you think it will fit your needs.

Heavy, Well-Crafted Handle
I got this to replace a broken handle on our outdoor spigot. It works great, although I was unable to use the screws and adapters that came with it and had to use the screw from my old handle.

Good product
Very easy to install. Nice to have the different size thread screws.

Functional but Lacks Durability Over Time
It’s easy to install and fits securely, and the round wheel design is easy to grip. However, after less than a year of use, I noticed the handle started leaking, which is disappointing. Additionally, the material doesn’t seem to hold up well to outdoor conditions, as it started to wear down faster than expected. While it’s a decent quick fix, it’s not the most durable option for long-term outdoor use. If you need something for heavy-duty or frequent use, you might want to look for a more robust replacement.

So happy that I found this handle
I have 2 of the Prier mansfield style spigots, and they are complete junk. I've gone through about 6 or 7 of their cheap replacement plastic handles that only wind up lasting 2 years, max, and they don't offer an OEM metal replacement for it. I switched to this Danco one and it is a game-changer for me. I would imagine it should last several years, if not longer. I needed longer screws to install it but that wasn't a big deal since I have a few of the Harbor Freight metric and SAE galvanized hardware packs on-hand. Note that the replacement spigot does not cover up or protect the packing nut of the faucet, but a little bit of outdoor pipe insulation should wrap around it to keep the UV rays off it.

Sending it back – not acceptable
The basic idea is beautiful, that it can be mounted to a solid surface with four fasteners. But the execution of the idea sounds like one of those Shark Tank ideas that gets shot down because the inventor didn’t really know much about what he was inventing. It’s just plain wrong. This could have been a top rated gadget, the basic idea is very practical. But there are two reasons I’m sending it back as unacceptable. Here they are with a fully detailed explanation.IT'S PLASTICPlumbing fittings are made of metal - bronze, copper, brass, etc - for a good reason. This thing is made of injection molded plastic with a couple of metal adapters. The all important threads that you attach the hoses to are all cheap plastic. The flange that attaches to the wall is relatively thin plastic with four tiny mounting holes. Did they not understand that their gadget not only has to support its own weight but that of two heavy water filled garden hoses hanging from it running at full pressure? Four tiny attachments into wood simple can't support that much weight and the downward force on the molded body of the product isn't up to taking on that much weight either.IT’S NOT WORTH ITDanco doesn't say a word in their description about what this thing is made of. That's misleading, from the photos it would be easy to assume for the price it is diecast metal, not fifty cents worth of plastic. The misused metal adapter ferrule is a twenty-five cent part and the metal/plastic valve adapter is available anywhere for about fifty cents. Together I wouldn't pay more than about five bucks for the whole thing, but even at that it is still a bad design.Over and above the two reasons I consider it unacceptable there are some serious questions if this inventor ever saw a garden hose.WHAT’S WRONG WITH ITThe inventor visualizes the input hose being permanently attached to the bottom of the device and the output hose being attached to the adapter with the valve on the top. Fortunately he didn’t weld them in place because the whole thing works a lot better if you move the adapter with the valve to the bottom where the input hose attaches. That way you can turn the water off at the earliest possible point to avoid leakage at all those places where the adapters attach. Further, I would have made the obvious decision to make the bottom attachment a female thread so it would directly attach to 100% of all common garden hoses without having to use an adapter. He uses a valve with a very tiny plastic thumb lever. Bad choice, I would have used a full-size lever, the style you usually see at the main water shutoff valve or gas line valve in most houses. You have to shut that valve off every time you attach or detach a hose so it should be easy and a positive shutoff.Just as obvious is that this idea would be an ideal place to use a quick connect attachment to the output hose because it seems the whole idea of a Wigot is to provide a secondary tap for temporary use of a garden hose. All of the above are ideas that would have made this product better. It’s one of the coolest ideas I’ve seen in a while and as simple as it is it could solve a very real need if they had only taken the time to understand what they were making and to make it properly.

Worked well as a replacement.
I used this to repair a 40 year old Galt Brass outside tap. Took a chance from the picture and it worked well.

Works perfect
Works well. Super easy to install and the thicker, bigger handle makes turning on/off the tap a lot easier. Would recommend.

Wonderful
Went to a bunch of stores and couldn't find a tap that would fit. Got this and it works perfectly. So nice to have a proper tap now.
