This lighthouse friends set by LEGO was so motivating to my 5 year old son, that he learned to wake up in the morning and pee in the potty instead of his bed. We have found the rescue ocean Friends sets to be far more engaging and motivating than any other LEGO line.Our only three issues were1. I wish they would include one boy in each larger Friends sets because boys can rescue animals too. I would be ok buying a bonus pack if it came with a Friends-styled boy.2. The light up block in the top of the lighthouse required some finesse to get it assembled (the only hard part of the build). Once assembled though, the stick that turned the light on and off would easily become dislodged and thus you would have to re-assemble the top of the lighthouse over and over again.. and with it being the most difficult part of the build, you really don't want to do it over and over again.

My ten-year-old daughter really loved this set and took ownership of the project, only occasionally asking for assistance. She had tons of fun building it and a huge sense of pride when she crossed the finish line. It’s such a fun set that it kept her engaged throughout and it was technical enough in spots that it challenged her to grow her engineering abilities. She followed the instructions carefully and the final product provides hours of entertainment for her and her seven-year-old sister. I’m cheap about certain things so new LEGO sets are always a reluctant purchase for me, but as usual I’m so glad I pulled the trigger. You get what you pay for and this was a quality spend with ongoing dividends. Plus I’ve learned to keep the box in good shape because resale isn’t so bad on these either when the time comes!

Wow. This is a great set. I purchased for my 7 and 10 year old grandsons - but my daughter (their mom) put it together so they could see the final result first. Typically they put kits together and then dissasemble the pieces one by one to make other things - but they play with the completed kit first. It's a big set with lots of unique pieces - basically a beachy/ocean theme. I think they are going to love it.

I also LOVE how the set comes with a light up brick. I think it is so cool that the set comes with a water reveal “map”. It also comes with Mia and Emma LEGO figures and even has a little heart jewel! I love how LEGO is so focused to all the little details, for example this set has life vests and a diving helmet.It took me (and my sister) about an hour to set it up. I am 10 and she is 4. I got this set for my 10th birthday last year in July.Overall great product, and I (as a 10 year old) highly recommend for kids who love lego’s or lego friends-Pippa😉

I found this to be a bit pricey. However you get a lot of play time for your money. I will say I was a bit overwhelmed at the size of the directions. It looks like a phone book (242 pages in one of the two manuals). We got a system going though and it worked out well. All the other Legos she built by herself but this one required team work which was nice. Probably took us 4 days to build on and off. I bought a piece of MDF (like plywood) from home Depot so we could move it around as needed (moved off table to eat dinner then moved back).

I bought the legos and began assembling it. I was putting it together, remember I'm a grandma. My older granddaughter came by and said can I help? Soon both granddaughters were building with me. They each took a section. It was a team effort and it looks so pretty. It was more difficult for me to build it of course.

Received this yesterday evening and my 7 year old daughter put together the first two bags with minimal help from me. (Goal was to do the project together.) so far I’m blown away by the design and we are a small fraction of the way done with the build.If anything changes in my rating I’ll update but this is looking to he well worth the money. After the haunted castle this is quickly becoming my favorite LEGO set!Update: we have completed bag 6. Set keeps getting more amazing. Quality time with my daughter building this set is priceless. We are both enjoying the set, and each others company very much :)

This set is absolutely adorable. Took my ten year old less than an hour to put it together. She luvs her Lego friends. We own most of them, this was one she didn’t have and it was on sale here at amazon for an okay price. Did not arrive on time, shipping was delayed with amazon which was the only disappointing part and why I didn’t give it a full 5 stars which is deserves.

I bought it as my daughter’s Christmas gift. It is good quality and beautiful design. My daughter very likes it. I may buy more for her birthday.
