This mic is a great value
As an orchestra teacher trying to adjust to teaching online I have found that the quality of built in microphones has not been good enough for me to help my students. I purchased this microphone because the price was in line with what I wanted to spend out of pocket for more classroom supplies. I have been very pleased with the results. Before, my students complained of me sounding "C R U N C H Y" (their quote). They have noticed a definite improvement since plugging in this mic. I like that the gain is accessible on the microphone so I don't have to go fishing around for more open windows among the many I have to have open for teaching. And that the volume into my headphones is also adjustable on the mic itself. It has been easy to use, quality is good enough for my uses, and the price only adds to the overall value of this piece of equipment.

Great for professional montoring
As my headline states, the fact that you can get live monitoring in this mic is a god send for anyone who is looking for a step up in their set up without a jump in price. From what I can tell the sound quality is perfectly comparable to others in it's price range and I haven't had any issues with the components. They even provide a small bit of sealing tape to help if your stand isn't quite the right size of thread for it. Honestly I couldn't be happier with this and only wish I found it before the return window on the mic I bought previous hadn't closed.

It’s fantastic.
I have two microphones; one for when I am at home, and one for when I am at school. The one at home is a Blue Yeti, which is by far the best USB microphone I have ever used for a variety of reasons, most notably its sound quality and overall flexibility. The one I use at school is this one (Maono Fairy AU-902 Cardioid Condenser Mic), and I must say that in terms of the latter’s sound quality, it is actually comparable to my Blue Yeti. The Yeti of course tops this one, but the fact that the Maono Fairy does not sound too far off from the Yeti is mind-blowing.The only disadvantages the Fairy has over the Yeti is that it picks up a noticeably larger amount of noise, requiring me to apply more noise reduction via editing software when recording vocals or instruments, which I am pretty sure there is nothing I can do about in regards to Skype or Zoom calls, unfortunately.I’ve been using the Maono Fairy for a long time now, and have used the same settings on it since the day it arrived at my door. Lately, however, I have noticed that it seems to have issues with popping/clicking whenever I record. I’ve tried unplugging and replugging it in, as well as messed with its settings to no avail. It just seems to be failing as of late, and is the only reason I’m not giving it an overall rating of five stars. Don’t get me wrong, it still works and does its job overall, but if I am recording music, constant popping/clicking via playback literally every 0.5-2 seconds is not going to fly. Overall, it’s a fantastic microphone, but I thought I would share this to serve as a potential warning. Maybe I just got unlucky, but either way, if my aforementioned issues with it are not a problem for you, do yourself a favor and invest in this wonderful microphone.

Love this USB Microphone
I needed an USB microphone for zoom meetings with my music teacher that would reproduce/transmit not only my voice but also the sound of my electric piano. I was concerned that this microphone would not be a good enough quality product for this specific application as there were quite a few options for more money that might be better suited. However, I have been very pleased with the quality of this product, both aesthetically and functionally. And the price point is very good for what you get. Once I learned how to set the levels it is so easy to use. I never have to do anything but plug and play.

Very nice microphone
This is a very nice microphone, especially if you can get it on sale. It sounds good, the build quality is excellent, and the buttons are well laid out. Note that when you press the button to mute, it doesn't stay muted if your machine goes to sleep, or you reboot, etc. This may have been done intentionally to somehow "reset" it. Another consideration: If you try to get a replacement USB-C-to-UCB-A cable, you need to be careful about finding one that will actually fit the microphone. The issue is that the USB-C port in the microphone is recessed, and some plugs (specifically the cap surrounding the plug) will not fit. It seems that the newer USB-C-to-UCB-A cables have more electronics in the end cap that make them bigger than the older ones, so you need to find one of the older ones.UPDATE: I contacted Maono regarding a replacement cable, and they were very kind and generous in offering to provide a replacement. This gives me more confidence that this company backs their products, and if I were to purchase another microphone, it would definitely be a Maono 902.

An annoying Hiss using the 3.5 mm Jack
I read lots of the reviews on this, watched the video reviews posted here and several on YouTube before jumping on this microphone. I've been using an Audio-Technica ATR-2100 Microphone for a few years now. I loved the ability to hear the volume of my own voice while using it for recording and voice chat. I even purchased a replacement when the USB port broke. This FAIRY Mic looked like a great value and the audio from the microphone sounded great in the video reviews.I bought it, hooked it up and immediately was confused why nobody made mention of the hiss coming through the headphone port. I tested it on multiple computers, and 2 different pairs of headphones. I confirmed this hiss does not come through on any recording or in Discord. If I used on-board audio headphone jacks, no hiss.. only while using the monitoring jack on the mic. I really wanted to love this mic, but after gaming for about 40 minutes, I had to disconnect it. The recording quality is great, it has USB-C and looks sleek! No setting would remove the hiss.

Versatile mic at a great price
This is a great well priced desk mic for podcasting and remote meetings. USB-C straight into your computer with a headphone jack on the mic with volume control for monitoring and a gain control for the input. Press the gain knob to mute the mic. Solid metal build and looks great on the desk. Happy purchaser.
