An excellent product at a very good price and excellent customer support
I bought a load of these hats for Christmas presents for my family because I was so impressed with the first one I bought for myself. The lamp is so lightweight that you are hardly aware it is there and it is so much better than using a head torch for dog walking.I did have a problem that, after a little while, the lamp would not charge but the company instantly sent me a replacement (which is still going strong) and they also sent me 2 spare lamps as insurance in case any of the gift ones fail. I think this is very good service and I thoroughly recommend this supplier.I gave all the hats to my relatives for Christmas presents and they were very surprised and happy with them.I use mine all the time for walking the dog at night time because it is very dark for some of the route I take.An excellent product at a very good price – what more could you ask for!One feature is that while the lamp unit is charging there is a red light and when it is charged it goes green. The lamp pops out very easily so you can still wear the hat while it is charging if you need to.I haven't timed it but it charges in a very short time.It will run for at least 2 hours on full brightness setting - It has not run right out yet. I use it for evening walks with the dog and I only need to charge it once a week.

Brilliant for dog walking on dark nights!
Brilliant for dog walking on dark nights! Hat is warm and fits well, having the light at the front is not uncomfortable at all. Light is bright enough to see when your dog does its business and easy to turn on and off. Light has enough charge to stay on high constantly for around 45 minutes, obviously this will be extended on lower light or turning the light off and on when needed. The light unit just flips out of its holder and is easily plugged into a USB port to charge but beware the USB cap/cover will or could be easy to lose or misplace whilst unit is charging although if lost the unit can still be used.

Ok for being visible but not for seeing where you’re going
It looks cool (a conversation starter) but it’s more suited to making you visible to other people rather than something you can find your way with. The light isn’t very powerful and doesn’t point in any useful direction. I found a much better solution at Costco; a pack of two hats with dual LEDs (one for distance and one for closer viewing) that point downwards rather than just being on your hat pointing forwards.

Great LED beanie, easy use, warm hat. A bit wary around charging.
This is a good beanie LED hat. The light has three brightness settings you just press the centre of the light to turn on, change brightness settings and switch off. The light slots into a rubberised socket built into the beanie rim so when in use it is held tight against your head, and if it were to fall out would stay in the rim unless of course you were upside down. But it fits snugly so unlikely to come out! I use it to walk the dogs as it's easier to have hands free and the light is adequately bright enough. The only issue I've had is charging, you simple pop the rubber protective cap off the USB and slide it into a USB plug. This has to be flat otherwise it slides out. I would not be comfortable leaving the light charging if I wasn't home but have not had any issues. I've had this in use for 5 months working perfectly.

Nice, easy to use and warm
Bought for dog walking at night - I have 2 dogs so its not ideal trying to use a torch when dog walking with both hands busy with leads.I bought this and one of those head spot lights on a band.I prefer this - its not as bright but bright enough - like walking around having a mini street lamp above you.Warm too on the cold nights. Doesn't like up far (like a torch) but enough to walk in - I look down anyway for puddles so its good enough to spot them (and any deposits you need to pick up)I do carry a torch as once it seemed to dim quickly on a walk - usually lasts a couple of 20-30 mins walks before needing charging. The charging threw me out - doesn't have a USB Cable but if you take the light out, take the rubber cover off you slide it into a plug that takes a USB cable and it starts flashing (charging) - I did have to look this up.The headband style are brighter but you have to move your head to see and they aren't comfy - this is more of a little glow around you with a warm cosy head.

Good light. Watch what you get, one rechargeable, one battery
Haven't tried it on as it's a present so can't comment on warmth etc. Looks like a good close knit so should be ok The light however is excellent. I have a head torch which I use on a very regular basis on night walks in the hills. This light seems just as good. If a charge lasts as long as in the product description should easily last a good couple of days walking. Interestingly, I paid £7, found the same hat on promotion at my local garage, £9.99.Update. Ordered a second one for Grandsons Dad, a grey one. Arrived today, uses ordinary battery, not rechargeable. Was bought specifically to be rechargeable. Grey one uses "coin" battery, not exactly handy for carrying spares.
