Weak battery
My old (original) battery was fading, lasting about 3 hours with modest amounts of video play time, so I bought this supposed identical replacement battery. It was closer to identical than I imagined, as I have verified multiple times it lasts slightly less than 4 hours, again with modest video loads and the display brightness halfway down on the slider, about as dim a display as is reasonable under indoor lighting. I don't recall how many hours I was getting when the original battery was new, (beyond 'all day') but a product review I double-checked indicated nearly 10 hours of use off of one charge. Unfortunately, this isn't even close. I didn't check the new battery's capacity till beyond the 30 day warranty. Silly me.
