The media could not be loaded. This arrived in 3 packages. It did take a while for my local delivery company to deliver it to my home after it had arrived in town, but it made it! The packages were HEAVY!!I began opening the packages and found the instructions. Less than 20 steps. How hard can this be? Well, right off the bat I did not follow instructions. It said to use two people. I did it by myself. Not impossible but damn, it was challenging. I must’ve asked “now, what screw do I need?” about 50 times!! The print was small and my eyes are old!! The small Allen wrench!! Ugh!! I ended up buying an Allen wrench bit. If I had one when I started this project it would have saved me a ton on time!!I really could have (and should have) used a second pair of hands a few times. It also would have made things go quicker. Took me about 10 hours over three days. The things I had to do to prop up one end of a board when I didn’t have a second pair of hands is honestly laughable!!!There was one step that required you to cut the baseboard out so that it is flush up against the wall. I didn’t want to cut baseboard out. So I ran to the hardware store and picked up a 4 foot long piece of pine, the same width of the baseboard. Prior to anchoring to the wall I screwed the pine board to the top of the bed frame (#87), then anchored it to the wall. It is solid!!!It looks and works amazing!! I’m happy with the end product. Now I’m not constantly having to walk around my old bed or run into it with my office chair. It also keeps my cat from leaving cat hair in one less location!! 😹. Totally worth it.

It took my wife and I about 4 nights to build this thing, working a couple hours a night during the week and a few 30 min quick builds I did during the day. The only thing that was a bummer about this is there are no cut outs on the back of the unit for a floor trim. I had to borrow a friends saws-all and cut out a section for our trim and ignore screwing it into the floor as that is unnecessary (also who want's to screw into their floor and possibly hit concrete/foundation?) Overall this murphy bed looks great, functions well and was at a very reasonable price. I would recommend this product to anyone looking to save space in their office or spare bedroom.One note for people who also wanted to save money and put a 10 inch memory foam mattress on this thing: it won't hold the bed down and will float up a couple feet. I had to buy a bag of all-purpose sand and some black sand bags, fill them and put them under the slats at the end of the bed (top of the doors if you are looking at it up) and that was enough to keep it down. Luckily there is a metal bar that can easily hold these bags up and the slats keep them down so they don't slide.

Love the style. Easy to assemble. However one of the doors was missing from the shipment. Contacted the vendor last week. Hope to get the part soon.

Omg!!! I love this bed!!! I read so many nightmare post about putting this bed together. My experience was totally opposite. The bed came early than I was told which was great. It's very heavy (300bls) but packaged well 3 separate boxes. Its was deliver by an 18 wheeler truck from some kind of freight company probably to handle this kind of load. They will only deliver to your driveway , I think it's extra to bring inside but this is all told in the description when you purchase this bed. The instructions were very specific all parts were accounted for, no items were damaged. It took 3 people to assemble in about 3 hours time. You'll need a drill, hammer, a phillips screwdriver and circular saw because you have to remove the base boards so that the bed case can be flush with the wall. Actually we didn't totally remove mine we just cut two 1'to 1 1/2 pieces out of the base board on both sides. That's to enable the bed case to be mounted to the wall. Please please this bed can only hold a mattress 8 to 10inch deep. I purchased a 12inch memory foam mattress and the bed case will not close as it should. This bed is a great space saver for my she shed and I highly recommend it.
