GREAT INSTRUCTIONS, and just super impressive really
I had the K&N tube and filter in before this and so far i only notice a slight improvement over the K&N, but both products are a huge improvement over stock. So back to the S&B, i have to say, out of all the intakes, and automotive parts ive ordered over the last 15 years, this is by far the nicest most well packaged, GREAT INSTRUCTIONS, and just super impressive really. I may be going over the top by saying all this, but really, a company that doesnt just take your money and say here is your product, they made everything to well organized, and the instructions were so detailed, it was a breeze. but better yet it made sense, and COLOR INSTRUCTIONS, most companies are to cheap now days to include instructions let alone color instructions. anyways, it does have a sound improvement over the k&n/stock setup, i much prefer it now, but we will see when im towing my rv for 12 hours straight, great product, great seller with fast shipping, ordered on wednesday, had it installed by friday for lunch time. thanks!

Proper Fitment and function
I contacted s&b and they resolved all my problems and are sending me a new intake. Awesome customer service. So I’ve had plenty of s&b intakes in the past that all fit perfectly. This one for my 2018 ram 2500 6.7 fits terrible. It lays up against the exhaust manifold and if I try to adjust it away from it the rubber boot is off the turbo or intake I tried both ways and no luck. Will be contacting them tomorrow for a replacement or my money back. Obviously something is wrong I know a lot of other people that have the same truck with an s&b intake that fit fine. I just got the worse one in the bunch. Also have over 6 hours into just trying to get it away from the intake plus another 30 minutes that it took to install. Safe to say that I’m very disappointed and will no longer be spending my money with them if the issue isn’t resolved.

The intake also gives the truck good sound and the turbo is tastefully louder - maybe ...
Installed on a 2013 Ram 3500 Mega Cab. Installation guide included step-by-step instructions with pictures specific to my vehicle. Installation took about 2 hrs and I went ahead and changed the oil during the install since I had full access to the filter. Since the S&B intake has been installed I have seen a noticeable increase in throttle response especially in the 0-50 mph range and the turbo seems to spools sooner to help get off the line. I get a slight increase in fuel economy but its nothing to write home about. The intake also gives the truck good sound and the turbo is tastefully louder - maybe 25-30% louder. You can actually here it now without having to drive close to something hoping the turbo sound will bounce off it. Of course the the Ram truck is sound proof inside so you do have to have your windows down if you want to hear the turbo whistle. I selected my air intake based on reviews that others have posted so I hope my review helps out in your selection. Overall I am satisfied with my purchase.

OH MY the turbo sound!
Installed the day it arrived in the mail (package unharmed great packaging!). If you’re installing this in a 6.7 Cummins you’ll notice the following things:1) faster turbo spool-up (and OH MY the sound)2) improved throttle response3) WELL built and SEXYThings this WON’T do:1) this is an application for a DIESEL engine. That being said there isn’t going to be significant gains in horsepower. What you’re chasing is TORQUE (since horsepower is gained through rpms and diesels don’t make those). There IS a noticeable difference in the bottom end of the throttle when this is installed and that’s what you want.2) this isn’t going to deliver the same gains as it would in a gasoline engine. Enough said.If I owned another truck with any kind of Diesel engine I’d buy another one!

Turbo Diesel owners read this!
So for the Turbo Diesels!!!! Do not get the oiled filter! Get the dry filter. The issue is that as you drive the air box will suck in oil particles that will stick to the turbo and collect dirt. If you have this issue just get turbo cleaner to fix it. You may throw an underboost error because of the build up. I did and had to clean the turbo. With that being said the product is awesome and really opens up the engines power. Once you have the dry filter there are no issues. Installation may take more than hour depending on your skill level and the height of your truck lol.Once installed you can hear the turbo spooling and definitely feel the power. Hope this helps and I would recommend it to anyone.

Great upgrade
I put this in my ‘18 Dodge Cummins. I immediately noticed the acceleration was improved and it downshifted when I needed it to. Pulling a trailer and going uphills the truck sometimes would not down shift and I would lose momentum. With this air box installed, it eliminated that issue. My only complaint is I wish the turbo sleeve was a touch longer with a better angle. It seemed short. This is the portion we’re the box attached to the turbo. One side is tight to the stops the other side is not quite there. It shouldn’t be an issue, but if there is an issue that would be it. Well worth the money!

Good Product
Installation was pretty easy with all the correct tools needed. Took about 2 hours but I worked slow and read through the instructions thoroughly. My "butt dyno" felt an increase in throttle response and turbo spooling was a bit quicker. Exhaust brake is a little louder but didn't notice any increase in turbo whine. You can hear the air flow better under hard acceleration. My intake temps decreased about 10 degrees so it does what it says it'll do. Main buying point for me was the fact that S&B posts their ISO 5011 test results for the intake. Not many manufacturers do that. I'm happy with the purchase and installation. Looks good too.

Misinformed
It's says in the add that it doesn't fit my 2017 dodge diesel 3500. But in fact it does. Like a glove.
