Joe abercrombie first law series 6 books collection set

This series was recommended to me by a dear friend, a friend who's opinion on books seems to align pretty well with my own tastes. I am very pleased with his recommendation.Grim Dark FantasyBeing in the U.S. I am a little confused in getting copies of these books that seem to be intended for the European market, I didn't think that this was supposed to happen, maybe I am wrong?

First of all, know that I have read this series several times before I added it to my personal library. Saw it on Amazon and had to have it. The books came uniform which is nice to look at when sitting on a shelf, and they came undamaged.

After reading all 6 books on ebook for the last 5 years, I can say the actual ones are a 1000% better. The feel of the paper, the smell of the bindings, and the glorious prose of Joe Abercrombie ensure these books will experience much fondling over the coming decades.

I'm a huge fan of the First Law series.Great books and great collection.

Joe A. is by far one of the best writers on the planet. 52 year Dad and bought the set for my 19 year old son as I think he is of age to enjoy these books. Simply love the writing style and what an amazing character to the whole ensemble of characters in the storyline - Sand dan Glokta!

I bought this series after seeing reviews online. This is my first time reading anything by Joe Abercrombie. I'm on book 4 already. This is VERY dark but with enough humor and absurdity to make it bearable. There are some really memorable characters that are the real strength of the series. All are very flawed indeed, but the author does a good job putting the characters' motivations and actions in the context of their often brutal back stories. My favorite character is Glotka, whom the author makes likeable despite his often horrible actions. All in all a fun summer read!
