Even with the description giving the dimensions of this item, this heart locket is smaller than I imagined. Quite dainty and lovely. The wings (doors) fold over the treasure within and latch together tightly. I've read that a few buying this piece have trouble opening it. Actually, a locket that closes with a snap is not apt to lose its treasure inside, so that is actually a good thing. The only detail that is worrisome for me is the bail of the locket (the loop built into the top of the locket through which the jump ring goes). The bail is very thin and easily bent and my fear is that it will not stand up to much wear over time. My advice to the manufacturer is to make the bail much sturdier in future lockets of this make. I "antiqued" my locket upon arrival, and it gave it quite an impressive look. It would be nice if future buyers would have the option of having a plain or oxidized version to choose from. Overall, I think the locket is lovely and functional so long as its wearer is not too rough with it. The engraving on the back is very neat but shallow, so the inscription will wear away over time as it does almost any engraving. Except for the fragile bail, I would give it a full five stars.

This necklace is very pretty, but as one comment I read said, it is small. I got it for my granddaughter and I think she will like it. I didn't realize it was shipped from China, but the seller was wonderful to work with. I was concerned that it would not come in by the time I needed it, but I sent an email and was assured that I would get it on time and I did. I would recommend this as long as you realize that it is small.

This was purchased for my mom by her sister for Christmas this past year in honor of my late father. My aunt chose a picture of my parents from a day trip they took, locket was smaller than we expected but still came out gorgeous with the picture init.

I received my necklace today. I ordered it just a few days ago so I was happy to get it so early! The necklace is good quality. The picture is small but that’s my fault for choosing a picture that wasn’t a close up. Overalll great product!

Took some time to receive it but the end result is beautiful. The necklaces were made exactly to how I wanted. As well as the engraving.

This necklace is very small, like smaller than a quarter. The picture is nice, but the writing on the back is almost to small to read, and the locket is hard to open.
