I had wondered why I had to replace my outlets every few years. It turns out I had decorative outlets, not designed to plug things in and take them out every day. There are apparently three grades of outlet, and my decorative versions are in the lowest grade. I decided this time to get the best (hospital grade), even though I would spend nearly three times as much as the ones I was replacing. It was worth every penny. It holds to the outlet box, and when I plug in anything it holds that very well. (This one is in the kitchen, and things are plugged into it and removed about 10 times per day.) Yes, my regular decorative outlets will work for a decade, probably, if they are in a low-traffic area, but these will never give me a problem as long as the house electricity works. I am unlikely to buy any other outlet type in the future.

I have two areas where we plug in vacuums, laptop chargers and a lot of temporary items. This is the third plug I have put in this location in 22 years. I wanted a strong plug with some grip so the plugs weren't always falling out or getting loose. I put the next step down from this grade plug in my kitchen island remodel and they get plugged in and unplugged 3 or 4 times a day. 5 yrs later still tight. So this is the next level up. It is hospital rated. More grip, wider contact area to reduce heat and the danger of arcing. Don't want a respirator plug falling out because the outlet was weak and no sparks near pure oxygen. These hold on and don't come out without pulling on the plug. Great and safe.

Unless you are installing a thousand outlets in a development, using builder-grade cheap outlets is a foolish way to save money. In your own home you will avoid many years of aggravation by upgrading to commercial or hospital grade receptacles like this one.

I purchased this to replace the receptacle under the sink for the dishwasher that was 30 years old. This receptacle is heavy duty hospital grade and where it is located is an upgrade over the original. This is a quality product at a fair price.

Sturdy, heavy and does what it is designed for. So far so good; no complain.

wire attachment screw plates are copper, plugs take a few uses to loosen up a little for easier use but they do not loosen up much. works great so far powering high amp tools.

I use this as a practical audiophile. I haven't detected any change in SQ, though that could be possible. However, I do INDEED see a huge benefit in that the mechanical grip of my larger/thicker/heavier/less-flexible 9awg power cords means that they stay plugged ALL the way into the socket. No more partially unplugged cords that have become that way under the burden of their own weight. Which, obviously, is a safety hazard. This fully remedies that problem for VERY little outlay. And it happens to meet code as well.

It's just a normal outlet, works as expected. No problem found so far.

Terrible, mandan lo que se les antoja. Modelos diferentes, reetiquetados y en 2 colores, cuando claramente, hasta en las opciones, elijes el color "deseado". Lo puedes esperar de un "tercero" pero se compró directamente a AMZON USA. Ahora a devolver todos los contactos y a perder tiempo.

Used several of these to build a custom power strip for my hifi stereo setup.Very pleased with their performance (which is really just a tighter grip on the plugs).
