Direct replacement
I ordered one for the front and rear because the threaded posts were rusted in place and could not be removed. These worked perfectly. The only issue is you have to match the size and number of holes exactly so that you don't have to drill new holes in the boat deck. I now have non-threaded posts and they are easy to remove and do not wobble; at least not yet. I've only had them installed for four fishing trips, but so far, so good.

Stating to rust after a month
I use this on my boat in salt water and wash it down after every use. I noticed today this is starting to rust and is suppose to be resistant to rust

Sturdy Upgrade
Direct replacement for an old threaded base. Love it. Very easy to use and very sturdy. The only trick is getting to the underside of the plate depending on your boat model.

Abrasive finish
Relatively expensive for what it is. I had a hard time finding this exact dimension, and therefore was limited to my choices. I chose this product because the mounting holes lined up to the existing plate which had rust through on the underside. The top of the plate is sanded and is abrasive, in addition to the edges being not smooth. I plan on taking some sandpaper to the side to resolve this issue.
