We were very pleased with the quality of this stainless steel flag holder. It is heavy and well made. Even came with drill bit, long wood screws and drywall anchors (which we didn't need). Looks great with the stainless steel flag pole too.

Again very sturdy & holds my USA made American flag proudly. Glistens in the sun.

I've purchased a few flag poles and flag pole mounts in the past and they've been flimsy, rust, and break. So I spent a bit more on this one and glad I did. Huge difference in quality. This is heavy, durable, and great quality. Even the screws are stainless so they shouldn't rust. The pole is very heavy duty and adjustable. Highly recommend spending a little more and getting a good quality pole that won't break or rust. This is nice looking and great quality.

Extremely heavy duty and well made. If you have a problem with wind this bracket will not be torn away from its mount like other flimsy brackets. I would however recommend using longer screws, at least 3 to 3 1/2 inches long if exposed to high wind.

OK, I just received this yesterday so my review is limited to my perception of the build quality and design of the item, as well as ease of installation. At the end of this Autumn, I will update my review to discuss the function over the next six months. So...Out of the box: well, but not over, packaged. All of the required screws (plus plastic anchors) were there (plus one extra set - nice touch) and appropriately sized for a bracket that would need to stand up to a four foot pole with a three by five foot flag on a windy day.No instructions, but let's face it...putting up a flagpole bracket on a newell post is not exactly rocket science. Not counting the time it took to bring my cordless drill up from my workshop and measure/mark where I wanted to mount it, it took maybe 15-20 minutes from the time I pulled the trigger on the drill for the first hole to the time when I put the last nudge tightening the final screw.The fit of my new flagpole into the holder is perfect. The wingnut that holds it tight fit the well-threaded hole perfectly and tightened the pole in exactly the way you would want it to.Overall, this is is a very good looking, well-built, easily installed, very functional flagpole holder.UPDATE: July 21. 2001About a week ago we were hit by a very strong pop-up thunderstorm with very strong gusts of wind. The flag tore, but the pole bracket and pole remained intact. Unfortunately, that is more than I can say for my newel post -- the pole bracket actually ripped a chunk of the post (about 6" x 4") out of the post. Not a failure of the flag pole mount...a construction material on the part of my house contactor when he built the porch. Overall, my review of the pole bracket remains the same, but with a caveat: make certain whatever you are mounting it on is capable of sustaining the maximum stress that might be placed on it in a storm.

This holder is rock solid and looks like it will stand whatever the wind will throw at it. I fastened mine to an existing fence pole, and didn't use screws. While I didn't see it mentioned, there are two 1/2 inch slots in the back of the holder that can be used to fasten it without any screws or drilling. I used a pair of stainless steel hose clamps to secure it to a 2-1/2 inch round fence pole.In addition, I added a pair of U-bolt clamps (mostly to satisfy my OCD nature). While they weren't really needed, I like to be 500% sure it was safe and secure. My 8 foot (1 in) stainless steel flagpole isn't going anywhere unless I want it to.Great bracket at a decent price. With the wind having taken out two cast aluminum flag holders (second one was a free replacement as the first one showed a huge casting fault /void where it failed) I wanted something stronger. Enter this item, which has withstood the wet snow, freezing rain winter storms of Ontario (2023) while keeping a 2 ft x 3ft double weight flag suspended from a 1inch OD x 3ft long wooden pole securely attached to our house. One storm (heavy wet snow, gusting winds 80kph) damaged the 1in x 4ft aluminum tube flagpole which I swapped out for the the solid wooden one. The flag holder / mount didn't flinch. UPDATE... May 2024... I am seriously impressed with this flag holder / mount. While nothing is truly indestructible this mount is about as close as it can get to being so. Since installing this over a year ago I have had three flags torn to shreds by storm winds and the mount has held strong. If this item ever fails and I do mean "If", I shall definitely buy the exact same model to replace it.

Zwar dauert die Lieferung ein paar Tage, da diese Fahnenmasthalter wohl direkt aus den USA geliefert werden, aber sie sind sehr gut verarbeitet, optisch ein Hingucker und werden zusammen mit Schrauben, Dübeln und sogar einem Holzbohrer geliefert. Sie sind absolut stabil! Zuvor hatte ich einen Masthalter aus Kunststoff. Ob der einen Sturm überstanden hätte bezweifele ich.Von mir also eine klare Kaufempfehlung!Gruß Flashlight ;-)
