Voice Transformer

The quality of this product is very low. Like a child's toy. However, with fast shipping and a low price it makes perfect sense! I bought this because I wanted to sound like a Dalek. I had grand plans for a Dalek costume which never came to fruition but I was able to find a combination of switches on this device that made an acceptable Dalek voice. DALEKS ARE SUPREME! Some settings on the switches don't do much and its not an intuitive interface at all. However at the end of the day it does what it says; it transforms your voice. I've had it for two years and it still works. The Dalek costume is still pending creation unfortunately.

First off, this product is misnamed. It is not exactly small. I'm a grown man and the body is bigger than my hand. I can't imagine a child considering this small. The feedback one gets from using it with the mic too close to the speaker is awful and I would imagine a child would do this all the time. The switches on top are not exactly descriptive of what each does so if you lose the cardboard backing saying what each does, you're out of luck and just have to guess. There is also the issue of having to hold to mic really close to your mouth for it to work, but not so close that you can hear your breathing.

it's a pretty neat little object, but we got it to put on our record, for the weird noisy robot element, and can't really use it for that because it changes the tone and pitch irregularly to whatever you say into it. there's no pattern or congruence with the tone you're emitting. but there are a lot of choices for different ways to manipulate your voice, so, if you're just after it for an annoying noise-maker toy, go for it.

It's a good voice transformer if you know how to use it, sadly, it doesn't come with a spit-guard, or any filtration system, so your voice may come out a bit fuzzy, but I find if you hold the mic to your cheek, or the chin line of a mask you're wearing, it can produce vocal transformation in a fantastic way!

I was using this toy to perfect a costume. The mic has a clip that was perfect for the mouth part of a scary mask. the voices aren't very different from each other (Range from distorted to high pitch distorted). Only about four of them are coherent. But that's all I needed to complete my costume. Good over all but I might need to modify the speaker case in the future. It does seem like thin plastic. Kinda like the 80s - 90s toy walkie talkies.

Overall, I'd say that it's pretty good. The two things though are that it's rather complicated to change the voice frequencies without looking at the box. The other is that It seems to be rather sensitive to volume level and should've had an input jack for an external microphone.

I saw bad reviews, but was thrown off by the occasional good reviews-- I thought, "well, maybe there's a working product, and then there's a knock-off product that doesn't work. Hmm... I had better be careful to get the good one." The answer is: that's not true. The positive reviews of this product are lies from company/distributor shills.It truly only makes noise. The mic almost picks up your voice if you press it hard to your mouth and scream at the top of your lungs... well, that rather defeats the purpose.I read all instructions, tried all options, fiddled with the mic and tried everything to salvage this item. With the pollution this product creates from electronics components and plastic housing, I really think it should not exist. I am kicking myself for not balking at the other reviews and staying away from this product.

Purchased last minute on a whim to add to a Halloween costume. Very cheaply built, sounds cheap, volume accurate for price paid. Not sure if I would buy it again, but it served it's one night purpose okay.
