Q: Are these chalky once dry

I have not found these chalky when dry. They have been pretty good

Q: How big is the box size for the 48 colour set? Is it convenient to carry around?

The box size is a nice compact size designed to carry around easily in a backpack or small bag. The colour pellets are small which is why some negative reviews state not big enough.

Q: On the review images there appears to be 2 different types of boxes. One in a metallic tin and one in a plastic tray. Which one is it??

You get both, the paints them selves are in a plastic tray containing the colour pellets, there is a pallet for mixing and water pens too which all come in a handy metal case for storage/carrying.

Q: how much does it cost

I think I paid under £20 when I got mine.
