I don't know why I never used one before. You waste so much less food and you actually get a better view of your aquatic pets feeding. I just unscrewed the dish from the tube. Left the dish on the bottom of the tank and use the tube to funnel the food down to the dish during feeding time.When done feeding I just leave the tube on a caddy for my aquarium stuff.

This product is marketed as a glass feeding tube with a glass dish. The dish at the bottom is glass, but the cylindrical tube is plastic (not glass). The optical clarity of the tube is reasonable for aquarium use, but there are some visible lines likely a result of milling / shaping of the plastic. I specifically selected this vendor based on their description of the tube material as glass. I am conflicted because the product will likely meet my needs, but I am seriously disappointed that they are misleading the consumer. I do not doubt that a more attractive glass equivalent, which I previously purchased from a different seller on Amazon, is of higher quality and will last far longer. To the seller, please list the real material used for the tube; otherwise, you risk buyers returning the product.

I really wanted to love this.My first came in broken and smelly, but was replaced. This second one was in much better shape. It fits well in my Fluval Flex. The top of the tube can be hard to get pinches of food in. Sometimes the food gets stuck on this plastic ledge near the bottom of the tube before it falls into the dish. I have to use pipecleaners to push the food down. The area around the dish still gets food bits. I use it because I have it, but all in all it doesn't quite seem worth it.

Makes it so much easier to feed my African Dwarf frogs.
