Career Counseling: Foundations, Perspectives, and Applications

Bought this for school. It arrived in time and in good condition. I am only 3 chapters in, so far. The information is well organized and easy to get through. It begins with a history of how career counseling has developed over decades (including the change in perspective as to why we, as a society, must place an emphasis on career development).

Not a bad book, but I didn't like that it doesn't highlight terms that are new. I appreciate the reading, however, as it was easy and understandable. Thank you Dr's Capuzzi and Stauffer, who consequently teach at my school! Another good collaboration.

The reading is boring and mundane (for entertainment purposes); however, all the material is there. Came quickly and in good shape.

I've spent a lot of time with this book over that past couple of months and have found it to be too general for a graduate level textbook. I think they could have done better. There is quite a bit of cutting corners on topics. The information is not applicable to practice in the way presented. A disappointment.

Downloading on my I pad with the Kindle app gives me more flexibility as well as not having to carry 3 or more books around.

I highly recommend Career Counseling, awesome book.
