BerghausMen's Prism Micro Polartec Fleece Jacket

Great fit, great fleece. Zips into my Berghaus jacket. Nice and warm with nice deep pockets.

Lovely warm and soft Polartec

The Polartec material is lighter, warmer and softer than the previous version of the fleece. I'm not sure about the durability, though - time will tell. The fit is as expected, not too big, not too slim. Also, the length is more or less the same as in older versions.

I recently bought a Berghaus Gore-Tex jacket for wearing over my suit on the way to work. Although it keeps me dry and protects me from the wind, it's not the warmest of coats, but I noticed that there was an inner zip and a couple of loops inside the sleeves, and a bit of research told me that the Berghaus Prism fleeces work with such coats, so I bought one of these to wear primarily with my jacket.In terms of fit, it's really nice. I ordered myself a medium and the fit on my body is good - snug but not tight, so perfect as an intermediate layer. I'm thinking already of taking this on holidays to wear on the plane when it gets chilly. It's also very lightweight, and feels quite thin, but when worn it's warm. The only issue is that the sleeves are quite fitted and are also rather long, but at least they go a bit beyond my wrists and can be tucked into or over gloves.When worn as a zip-in it comes into its own. The sleeves have loops, which attach to the matching ones inside the Gore-Tex jacket, so when you take the jacket off the fleece doesn't pull out of the sleeves. Sadly it doesn't attach to the top of the jacket, so if you hang your coat up the fleece sags down at the top. However, at least the jacket keeps me dry and the fleece keeps me warm, which is the main thing.Overall I'm happy with the fleece. I wish the sleeves weren't quite as fitted and were a little shorter maybe, and I'd have liked there to have been some way to attach the neck of the fleece to a compatible jacket, but aside from those couple of issues I'm happy with it.

A great buy is this Berghaus fleece in Black.I picked black as it will match up with several pairs of pants i have that are black or at least dark in colour.I have 2 other Berghaus fleeces, this black one is a lot thicker than the others.Size medium is a comfortable fit, i like the zipped pockets to keep things safe.I have a few fleeces but i always seem to go back to my black Berghaus, it sums up my character and appearance as i wear it proudly.

Although I appreciate this jacket is a thin micro fleece I have been wearing it for less than two months and already have several holes on the fabric above the pockets. I can only assume the slight stretch from putting your hands in the pockets has stressed the fabric causing it to come apart. Such a shame as it’s a nice slim fit jacket but definitely not hard wearing at all very disappointed.

Given one of these fleece jackets a couple of years ago and loved it so going for another one in different colour.

I love mine. Its not quite as thick as I'd imagined but Its good enough. Especially as a lining for one of the coats. Zip pockets obviously a bonus. Its good.
