This is a pretty good laptop for $500. On pulling it out of the box it immediately reminded me of my work-issued MacBook Air. Its a little bigger (14" vs 13") and a little heavier. The chassis is plastic instead of metal, but it feels sturdy. It took only about 30 minutes to get it up and running while windows was doing its initial setup.Pros:-I LOVE the touch screen. It is SO much quicker to navigate with touch than the touchpad. The touch pad is decent and you can use them in tandem. Like to high light text is easier with the touchpad...but man the touch screen is nice.(See con about screen below)-The screens colors look great and vibrant-I dont know the normal expectation of a laptop as my 7yr old one only lasted about 20 mins....I was able to watch a movie and then do a few more hours of research with multiple tabs in chrome and it went down about 40%....Id guess without watching the movie 8-9 hours?-The start up time from a complete shutdown is about 10 seconds because of the SSD(There is a con about this below)-I have not had any slowdowns since using the computer even with 8-9 chrome tabs open, playing pandora, etc.Cons:-The sound. The speakers are on the bottom of the laptop, which may or not be bad depending on the surface you have the laptop on. On a desk I bet they would be decent. On my lap its pretty quiet. When watching my movie I had the sound up the whole way and had some issues hearing the movie while putting dishes away. I'd say the speakers are about as loud as my cell phone(samsung galaxy S7).Neutral:-The screen. If you are a clean freak then leaving finger marks on the touch screen may be an issue. The laptop did come with a cleaning cloth, but yeah I can see my finger marks on my screen, just like on a cell phone.-The SDD. It is fast, but know that with a 128 GB SSD after windows install you are only getting about 80GB left for yourself. I knew this going into the purchase so this is not a deal breaker for me, but something you should be aware of.-The hinge. Opening the laptop takes a little more force than my old one. This I believe is because of the touch screen so that when touching the screen the screen doesn't shift in its position. This is fine. Also when you convert it into a tablet by flipping the screen the whole way back, windows asks if you want to use tablet mode. It's interesting, but dont know how much I'll use it.The only star loss is honestly because of the sound. The product feels good typing, it feels good in my lap, I LOVE the touch screen, it is fast, has a decent webcam, it was everything I was looking for at the price I was looking for(about $500).

This is probably the best laptop that you could get for this price. I have only had it for a couple weeks, but with its specs, it is running as well as could be expected. It did have a brief period where it was running very slowly, and seemed to be having issues with the trackpad and the click buttons for the mouse. It also kept restarting, and going to sleep, over and over again, but I think I have solved those problems (hopefully). All in all, unless you want to spend twice as much, money, this laptop is a good bet for this price point. Delivery took longer than other Amazon items, but I was kept apprised of the expected delivery date, and it did arrive on said date.

I bought this Dell laptop a couple of months ago thinking it was a great value, since they said it was reduced from $1,299. Even though they said it would ship in a couple of days, it took more than a week AFTER they took the money off my card, for them to send it. That was my first warning flag.When I received it, there was a note inside that said if I wrote a good review within 7 days, I could receive a gift. That sounded suspect to me and like it would lock me into a review PRIOR to my getting full use of the laptop...so I didn't.I have had nothing but problems. At first I thought it was me. I thought I wasn't updated it properly or something. It crashed once every 2 days for the first week. It also made a weird noise and the video quality was extremely poor. Mind you, it shouldn't have a problem with regular videos as it's supposed to have a great video card and came with 16G of RAM.The second week it only crashed once - which is why I didn't send it back. It worked okay (with multiple automatic repairs, etc.) for the next 2 weeks. It was then that my 30 days to return it expired.It has been 2 months. At least twice a week I have to restore it to factory settings because it gets caught in some type of loop and won't boot into windows. That means that I have to reinstall every feature and app that I had loaded every few days. I don't know about you, but I don't have $600 to just throw away. I REALLY needed this laptop and I needed it to work, which is why I searched for over a week on Amazon for it.In a nutshell, buyer beware. The good references are because they offer a gift before you fully test it and then you're locked in.

Out of the box the laptop seems to work faster than my other computers. Even seems to work better than my work provided Dell (Intel Core i7 8th gen). Screen is sharp and was pleasantly surprised to find it is a touch screen (didn't see that in the description). the included mouse is quick and light...works without a mouse pad easily. Included mouse pad is HUGE, I don't have the measurements but larger than normal mouse pads. Free year of virus protection a nice bonus.

This lap top worked well for the first year. In the past couple months it has been finicky about charging. This past week I have been unable to get it to turn on. I purchased a new charge cord, but that did not solve the problem. I contacted Dell support and it is just out if warrenty. My only option is to pay for diagnostic services up front with additional charges to fix the problem if possible. Very disappointed as I would expect a product to last more than a year. My sister purchased the same laptop around the same time and gas experienced similar problems with charging.

Got this laptop because of the low price. I need it mainly to pay online bills and do my fantasy football league lol. I've had Dell computers before and always had great experiences with them.

For $529, this laptop is well worth the price. The processing speed and battery life leave a bit to be desired, but the overall performance of the device is solid. Features include 8 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, Windows 10, Microsoft Office, a 14-inch touchscreen that doubles as a tablet, 1 year of McAfee Antivirus Care, and a complimentary mouse, adapter, and track-pad.

Usually it takes long time to start. My charger suddenly doesn’t work today after 1 year and half since the purchase.
