I suffer from Bipolar Disorder and depression always hits me around the Winter time. I started feeling it again this year and was reading about Sarcosine and its benefits for schizophrenia so figured it was worth a try and I wish I tried it sooner. I feel much more social, goal oriented, and my mood is very consistently happy. There is one negative side effect I've had and that is headaches. I do take Seroquel, Gabapentin, Zoloft, and many supplements so it might just be an interaction with one of those but I'll take a headache over crippling depression any time. To all my Bipolar friends out there, give this a try if you need a pick me up that doesn't make you manic. Actually somewhat more emotional after taking this a short while. As someone who almost never cries, I was surprised to get watery eyes when driving past places that reminded me of my best buddy who died 8 months ago. Had to do some public speaking and didn’t get overly anxious. Able to be more patient with family member with OCD and early dementia- I used to be miserable and frustrated. More energy and probably a healthier emotional range.

Just wanna say that Nootropics Depot is a terrific company and has excellent quality products. Sarcosine was not very effective for anhedonia/ mood disorder related problems. I had one really good day of happiness and excitement from it, but I cannot seem to replicate it again. It’s a glycine reuptake inhibitor and nmda coagonist. Didn’t seem to have much effect on me unfortunately. I do think it’s a good quality item, but everybody’s just different. I would still say give it a shot!

These made me irritable and hypomanic. Probably fine if you don’t have bipolar disorder… I tried them for my OCD.

These vitamins don't taste great, but they aren't as awful as some I've had in the past. I would call the flavor 'neutral', almost flavorless. The Sarcosine was recommended to help with my brain fog due to schizophrenia. I've been taking it every day, one tablet, for about 5 months now and it seems to be helping me get through my work days easier without causing any unwanted behavioural side effects. I feel like I can focus a little easier. The supplement bottle says you can take up to two tablets a day, but so far, I've just been taking one a day. They are expensive, but like I said, they seem to be helping, so for now, I'll keep taking just the one a day.

So far, this has been life-changing for me, which must mean that my issues are related to the receptors affected by this.It's not going to work for everyone, but if you do your research and think this will work for you, it's worth trying.I literally knew on day one.
